I think I started what was the 33rd MN a few days ago and so far, the return has been about US $40 per day.

Hey I'm new to the Linda coin, but am very excited about it. I have almost 2 mil already and am hoping to get a masternode up and running soon. I have run masternodes for Dash and Crown in the past, so I have a little bit of exterience with them.

My question today is with the Linux Wallet. I have a fresh install of Ubuntu 17.4 64bit. I have downloaded the "linux-qt.tar.gz" from GitHub and when I double click on the "Linda-qt" nothing happens in the GUI. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? I am looking to start staking my coins by doing this.

Thanks,

It is not compatible with ubuntu 17.4

thanks Support team, can you tell me which version of Ubuntu is supported? Or better yet, which version of Linux are supported and are they any special instructions to get the wallet to run aside from downloading, extracting and double clicking on it within Linux?

So I'm syncing after a not having the wallet open for a week or so, and it is taking forever because I only have 2 connections. I have all the nodes listed on the OP in my conf file... Any ideas on how to get more connections?

New wallets can take time to sync, this is because it has to sync with all the mined blocks by now

-support team

I have 850,000 Linda coins so in wallet how many coins I will get if i stake them per day

regards
Balaji

I built a VPS with Ubuntu 14 and had the same issue. Double clicking on Linda-qt did nothing.

If you are unsure what the payout for a masternode is... it's all on the blockchain to see and you can calculate it from the ANN page.

Here is a simple way to check that doesn't even involve running anything on the command line.

On the resulting page you can see what the Masternode staked each day.

Alternatively maths is your friend:

  • 90 second block time
  • 14,150 Linda per block
  • 50% to MNs

That means:
  • 24 hours per day, 60 minutes per hour, 60 seconds per minute = 86,400 seconds per day.
  • Divided by 90 second block time = 960 blocks per day.
  • In total there will be 960 blocks * 14,150 Linda per day generated. Nice: 13,584,000 Linda.
  • 50% goes to masternodes - 6,792,000 Linda to Masternodes per day.
  • If there is 1 Masternode on the network... it will get all of that.
  • With 10 MNs on the network, each should get around 679,200 on average.
  • With 100 MNs on the network, each should get around 67,920 on average.

There. Now you know what you can expect to earn.

I mean no disrespect...but be a little bit more patient and you'll find out.  A lot of people want to get rich quick, but if you stake your coins and wait 24 hours, you will know how many coins you get for staking them for 24 hours.

Linda is the new NEM

Yeah, dream on. Not to say anything bad about Linda, as it's a decent coin, but that's a little overstatement. Whenever i hear "Coin X is the new NEM/Ripple/Strat/NEO/whatever", later on i always watch it fall back to the ground real quick

Your calculation is really impressive and correct!
And from your calculation, looking here https://linda.masternodes.pro/ telling us there are 47 Masternode active should result then 144,510 Linda each, so Linda's current price on cryptopia is about $ 84 a day.
It is therefore far from what the above page tells us that shows a gain of $ 885 a day, that is about x10 from the real gain.
Why this then?
How is the data false on https://linda.masternodes.pro/?

I have been staking about 500,000 coins since 8/28.  Granted, that is not much but still have not received any coin payout.  Based on 5,000 coin payout for every 10 Million coins, I should be getting about 200 coin per day.  Below is my conf file.  Am I doing something wrong?  Wallet has been up and unlocked since then.

Well it could have been old data from when there were less MNs on the network. So the MN count was up-to-date but the payouts were off by a a week or more I guess.

Right now the numbers have been lowered but they are not correct either.

Always DYOM (do your own maths).

You need to wait for 24 hours for you coins to mature, by then you will start receiving stake rewards. You will normally be receiving rewards every 24 hours, that is the maturity period. Please make sure your wallet is open and online 24 hours to receive the maximum reward.
