Of course. Kidnapping is taking someone against his will. In other words forcing someone to do something. This usually involves using physical force and threats, just like when you're robbing someone. It's a crime that is by no means petty. You can get 10 years with ease for kidnapping someone even if that person wasn't hurt. |

WTF i just heard the news with a fcking SENATOR in the philippines .. SHE get the 3 witnesses ( MINOR ) with out the consent of the parents and now shes saying that kidnapping is LEGAL as long as you didnt harm them WTF !!! she is ONE of THE MOST CORRUPT person!! GANDANG PHILHEALT  Wah means that if that's the way I'm going to kidnap and rape her and threaten her that I'm not hurting her, I'll be free.  I watched the documentary of vice news about bride kidnapping and they allowed that if I'm not not mistaken they shoot that on Uzbekistan or Kurdistan I forgot it.but I'm sure in there story.in other ways its illegal to kidnap a person whether you harm them or not its the right of very person to refuse whether they like it or not that is the human rights... |

GANDANG PHILHEALT I strongly disagree to that statement that one of the senators in the Philippines said that kidnapping is legal as long as you don't harm the person or people whom you kidnap because in the first place, the word kidnap is already negative and will never be positive. The act of kidnapping is not a minor case when it comes to the law. I hope that the person who said that will not stay in the government of the Philippines for long because it is like he or she has no plan to protect the victims of kidnapping but it is like he or she is protecting the people who did or will do kidnapping. |

Kidnapping is still kidnapping even if the culprit doesn't harm the victim. Even the simple act of detaining someone out of his/her own will, refusing them freedom is what kidnapping really is. No one in his right mind should abduct other people.

Once you attempt or harassed simple individual without his/her consent and approval, it is considered as unlawful and illegal, you violates their human rights. However, if you are influential person and has a closed connection to some judges you can interchange the law. But, the law states that kidnapping is unlawful act of capturing and carrying away a person against their will and holding them in false imprisonment. That's why it is very clear that kidnapping is illegal in any kind of exemption reason.

I think that is a joke, when you kidnapping its mean you rob their freedom and caused a mental damage to the victim, it can cause trauma to the victim, of course this is a criminal, the person who said kidnapping is not a criminal should be punished

This is laughable. Even if you don't harm kidnap victims, they're still taken without their consent and against their will. That in itself is the definition of kidnapping and its regardless if thr victim gets hurt or not. Foolish reasoning really
