Bitcointalk is probably the most popular platform but some ICOs have huge institutional investors backing them.

Hence, these ICOs don't place much importance on advertising.

Hey guys,

more and more I see ICO which are being conducted without even mentions on Bitcointalk. How do this ICOs are attracting investors and from where are they getting all the investors?

Does anyone have an Idea about it?

Greetings!
Bitcointalk isn't only the place on which it does have potential investors but there are lots of places on internet which a certain ICO could able to pull up an investor as others said here either they would get on crypto-based blogs, sites even on social media cryptocurrency traffic targets and lots of more as long a project do have a budget for marketing then there would really be no problem but this forum itself can really give big contribution to get investors.

I think many ICO's are advertising through the ad networks ,popular crypto news sites like cointelegraph, coindesk and google ads. I have seen many ICO advertisements in cointraffic popunder adnetwork which I havent seen in this forum. But its better to open a thread in this forum about the ICO , so that people will have the impression that its genuine and their ICO will turn into a hugh success.
Still more of bitcoin sites they can advertise.

No bitcointalk doesn't work as a sole source of advertisment for an ICO even during the times of LISK it was already "little " only to have a good thread but now it seems totally irrelevant.
It just doesn't make a difference

Yeah you're correct since Coinmarketcap,Facebooks ads(not campaigns), and Youtube advertisement is so good on advertisement remember there so many failed project who's been relyin on bitcointalk sig campaigns and other inside the furom advertisement. And most like those coin who's relying only on bct is a scam coin.

There are many secrets attached toward the success of any ICO but the bad news here is that nobody will like to share his/her best secret with you.

I know that this involves a lot of advertisement on various platforms and countries.

Perhaps the most successful ICO, they promote it in all the social media they see very crowded in use by the community and not only that, they have long prepared a good and interesting concept, so that all investors see the seriousness and development of ICO, That's where investors start to invest part of their money.

No not all of them are Scam but usally they are not "profesional" enough. I mean remember LISK I don't think they did anything else than bitcointalk. And succeeded.

I agree. I'm relatively a newbie and came here hoping to find in depth discussions and help on ICOs but there seems to be so much noise on all the threads that it just feels impossible to find right people, get some feedback and genuine info.

Unless you're a core member of this community it makes life very hard for anyone like me and start doubting if this is the right place to do a serious announcement or learn.

Judging by your current HelpTap topic, I think you are already convinced of the opposite Smiley

ICOs that don't make Announcements thru Bitcointalk, and don't run Bounty campaigns already have potential investors that just buy all of their token within the first couple of hours. Many money laundering schemes are conducted thru ICOs.

From my experience, 40% of the bounty campaign participants end up buying your coins.

They have other community medias to spread icos. Further more, they needn't attract all the investors, only a part of the investors is enough.

I have talked to some ICO advisers before with almost the same question you posted here. And you know what they said to me when I asked them about that question? They say it's not important to have many promotions, i.e. promoting it here at Bitcointalk, as long as an ICO project is able to secure prospective investors or those we call as angel investors -- these are VIPs who have invested heavily in a project -- the project will still become a success.
