Dear friends,
I have 2 BTC - it's all my money. Should i buy and hold Waves coin for longterm (end of 2017) Thank you so much
Waves drop much in terms of its satoshi value when btc is on the rise. However, i would say it is time to invest in Waves now 2017 is a year for BTC 2018 should be the year of Ethereum Then people will look for alternatives to invest time by time BTC was 800$ early 2017 now ~ 7000$ x8.75 ETH was 10$ early 2017 now ~ 330$ x33 2017 More like a year for ETH lol

If you have two BTC that's already a good stack and a worthwhile amount to consider carefully what you will do with it. My suggestion would be definitely not to put your entire two Bitcoin into Waves, but maybe about 10% of that, so 0.2 bitcoins. And the rest of the 90 percent you can distribute to other coins such as ETH, XRP, ETC. Make sure to be invested in many top ten coins and hold at least ten of them.. or not necessarily the top ten coins but have a total of ten holdings. That will help you mitigate risk in case one of them "doesn't make it" and you will be well diversified in case BTC will dropped at some point (imagine having everything in Waves and one day it drops 50%, then you're left with only one BTC from your original investment of two BTC's.

Dear friends,

Your post leads me to do some considerations: 1. If all your money is 2 BTC, I'd suggest to just hold those 2 Bitcoins and focus on earning something more. Once you will have earned other money, you will start considering investing in altcoins too. As long as you have just 2 Bitcoins, I suggest you to not spend/invest them and just hold. 2. Waves is a very good project, one of the best coming out in this crazy crypto-world. There are lots of silly project out there and Waves is among the most useful and important ones. Sasha is a very good developer and I'm buying some. I already expressed positive opinion about Waves here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2375149.msg24611552#msg24611552Said that, cryptocurrencies investments are very risky, so I'd suggest you to take into account the risks you have investing in ANY blockchain project (even Bitcoin!). 3. If you ask people which coin to buy, most of the replies will advice you to buy what they have. Once you (and other people) buy such coins, their price will rise and users who reply you will get profits. So it's pretty useless to ask for advices in my opinion. Better to do your own due diligence and research as much infos as possible before putting your hard earned money into an investment.

Only the newbie don't know the price of Ethereum has pumped many percents like that. They only see the profits in short time, don't care the history price because most of the newbie are speculators

Check their roadmap and Telegram. There's enough serious development going on, it's just not priced in yet because of the Bitcoin bull run.

Currently, only old altcoins as Ethereum, Dash, Monero, Stellar, Dogecoin or Ripple are altcoins since 2015 can increase the price. In my opinion, unlike the bullish trending earlier this year, we are seeing the bullish trending of altcoin started in old altcoins.

Waves is very serious, long term and respectful coin. But I still cannot ignore the fact that its price doesn't really move. Most of serious coins keep having great pumps but Waves just sit and sit and sit more.

Making short positions with waves would be the biggest mistake ever. It's not for day traders, it's only for patient people who are looking for really nice profits in long run. Otherwise, stay away from waves. Its price sometimes stuck somewhere and doesn't move.

I don't think that is advisable as bitcoin outperform every others coins. There are few coins that one can buy with bitcoin but wave is not among for now. Since Russian government banned ico projects and other crypto related activities wave have taken bearish trends and I don't think we can make any significant progress before end of this year.

Waves looks good to me but it will never give quick profits and if you want to make really good profits from it then you need to hold it for a very long term and I don't think many would be having patience to hold it tool long and again holding longer doesn't guarantees you profits.

Very likely given the smart contracts in Q1 and the new wallet and exchange in the next weeks/months.

Of course now all the alts are on the heights and waves, including. so it was necessary to buy a little earlier and now keep them. It's good that their price has increased, although some competitor bitcoin in the market.

2BTC is a pretty pantastic number and I'm pretty sure you'll be able to do whatever you want, and the question is can you manage that much value just to gain a profit by investing in a long time. ok, here's the guys I think first with the mature and start looking for inpormasi from sites that can be in trust that you can manage the capital you have correctly so you will not lose later. and the second one should not you set aside some of the money you have to infest offline, maybe one of those examples is you can expand your money by investing in real estate, I think it does not have too much risk so you have balland on the money you will invest.

i'm not recommended you to buy the waves because in my opinion if you want to investment in long term you can invest in ethereum more profitable and promises to investment than waves.. people always use the ethereum so it make the price of ethereum high price

Even though I think that Waves can't really compete with other blockchains, as it lacks a lot in customization, I can see a target market for it for anyone who simply wants to create a coin without much of a hassle. If anything that's what Waves is good for, without coding skills or any special knowledge you can pretty much create your own coin and trade it directly to anyone. Is it good in the long term? I think not. Because there will come other platforms who will offer even simpler ways to create tokens and communities, and waves will be left back from the game. As simple as it is to create a custom token, it's still kinda old-fashioned (in my opinion) the entire way the designed the user interface, I was thinking something more like a Facebook platform with profiles etc. would work better.
