Why do you even gamble?

I gamble for fun and entertainment. I try not to let it get out of hand by setting rules for myself. I set an amount of money that I can gamble with each week and I stick to it. This seems to work for me and I treat it just like a form of entertainment that you would spend money on like video games. Sometimes when we gamble with a small amount we might be lucky to double it which means we can use it the next day to gamble so it is a good thing for us even if we dont play for profit

I do gamble every now and then myself, but I am for sure not addicted.

Although I know my limits, it's really hard to stop when you're down. You can't stand the fact that you lose money, and you want to play more to get the money back.

I think it has a lot to do with the uncertainty of the outcome of the gamble. There always is a chance you win it back, so you're chasing your loss.

Indeed, that is why I never consider gambling as one of the way to earn profit anymore. In the past few months I used to play gambling just not for fun but also to gain profit either. Unfortunately, instead to earn I lose a lot of money, though I win once before but it wasn't enough to win back all of my loss. And only thing comes on my mind and it is to stay away from gambling.

I strongly agree that gambling games are only used for entertainment only because gambling games are very risky and if we rely on gambling games to earn revenue then it is the wrong action. I am very avoiding risky things because when we do it we will easily get addicted. Addiction is a bad thing and we will be able to get a life as well as a nightmare if affected it.

Gambling isnt bad but if you do already come to a point on where you are already addicted and been compromising lots of things specially your priorities and responsibilities then its the time that you are already doing the wrong thing. Its hard to believe that making a living with gambling but there are actually people who did able to do such thing specially on those who played poker and other skill based gambling games.This should really intend for entertainment purposes but there are people who did find another way to benefit even more.

We have our own different opinion about gambling, and most of the people are not thinking that games in gambling is just for entertainment, for them it is a living, they take it seriously and that is why there are so many people on this forum are asking on how they can cure their illness which is being addicted to gambling. Playing gambling just for fun is a safe way of playing gambling, because your attention is not focus on winning but to have fun only, though, we still have not to do it always, there is a lot of things out there which could be the entertainment that we are looking for.

It is indeed entertaining especially if you are just using the free satoshis that they have and not your money, because at least if you are just using their free satoshis, then you  are not going to worry about losing your money, what you are thinking all of the time is that if you are going to win or not, but either way you have fun. People do gamble because it is either they wanted to double their money(which is too risky) and the other one is because they want to have a pastime.

Actually I gamble just to have fun. If i win and make a profit then it will be luck and bonus for me. But when I lost, even I was ready for it. Because my main purpose is to gamble just for fun and to get rid of boredom.

It's all about ,a king money for me and whenever I am lucky to earn some money, I end up losing it all in the first place . Gambling is not a profitable business at all especially for the gambler, it's always the house that wins.

Honestly, I'm very concerned to knowing about that, surely the life of people had a different and various conditions also that can be influence to them. It's good from that.. we just take a lesson, because of every cases there must be a lesson that we can take to be more careful of the path way that we choose.

Well and not necessarily also all the gamblers will experience the same thing like that, they certainly have a different life differences. And I think that's more vulnerable to happened something like that.. it's for gambler's addict who has been fatal/very dependence.
Anyway.. I just suggest to everyone don't too addict with gambling.

i couldn't agree more with you lol , i have seen a lot of people deposit into online casino for the sake of money laundering it's indeed proven work. but there always a consequence especially when you did it in large amount of money. having fun always be everyone purpose but unfortunately it's always leading to an addiction and yeah nothing good in the end when it comes to gambling.

This post is not intended to criticize gamblers, i am just curious what drives a gambler to really gamble even when the odds are against him or even reach the point where he'd rather lose everything he has than to stop doing his gambling addiction. I said the following because i have seen friends and some relatives on my mother's side literally lose everything they have like family, wealth etc. and only a few managed to stand up again. And some of that few still gamble to this day. And an uncle was found dead from a gunshot wound, whoever did it was unknown. But rumors say that it is one of all the guys he owed large money and never payed. While a friend(not close, just a neighbor) died from suicide because his wife left him along with his 14y.o daughter and 3y.o son. Now, I ask this because i dont get it. I just don't. I mean is it even worth it? If you ask me, i don't know. That is why i am asking. And the reason why i did it here is because we all know i can't ask a gambler with this kind of questions face to face because doing that would mean mean that I wanna start a fight. I mean that might how a gambler reacts to this kind of question. Please share your thoughts on this.

I can understand your concerns and you feel why would any one put his life on the line, but it's something that just can't be explained easily, for some it's a quick gateway to become rich, for others it's a passion a thrill they never get from anyone else. For others it's a way to get over a broken heart and find peace In a game that loves you. Well they gamble based on their feelings and superstition but I gambled on sports based on my understanding of the game and the circumstances surrounding the teams I'm about to bet on. It gives me absolute control and if I'm lucky and all things become equal I win.

it is based on feeling but betting is based on your research work and also bit of luck if you dont have luck
you might even end up losing a bet which has a odd of 1.1 or even lower. there is no such thing know as risk
