They are very different. Mining I would say is the easier way to earn but you need to have the right hardware. Trading 'actively' is more profitably probably but has more risk attached to it, however simply investing is probably the easiest and will likely net you a modest return over a period.

Mining and trading are very different. In mining, you are using your computing power to "create" bitcoins. In trading, you are simply exchanging one cryptocurrency for another (think Forex/The Stock Market). The results of each will depend on your mining equipment and your level of skill at trading. To get BTC mining is a good move, but it requires huge capital to buy VGA and other equipment. after you have BTC then you will automatically become a trader.

Ofcourse mining and trading is not the same. Mining is like investing, it takes very long time to earn big profit in mining, in trading, it is a reciprocal process, you exchange your asset to someone's asset. I think it is easier to earn in mining because you will only need to wait for the profit unlike in trading, you gonna need some skills like, timing and you need not to let your emotion dictate you what to do, but the good thing in tradig is that you can have bigger profit in shorter time of period.

Trading is a good way of earning bitcoin though it require skills and knowledge of how trading in crypto currency works. Mining is also profitable but it require huge capital to buy the equipment and the cost of electricity is another major challenges.

By safer? I meant you are referring to which one will give you the best return without you wasting your money right ?
Both of them (depending)… With cloud mining, most of them are scammers and as far as I am concerned I have not been able to find any legit one that can get you what you invested back (not like it is even that easy realistically)... GPU mining on the other hand is no longer for bitcoin mining unless you want to be generating dust.

For some altcoins though, you can still give it a try and then convert to bitcoins. So, maybe you'd want to try that instead.

Ya Both Mining and trading is different. The amount of dollars, you get from both is purely based on the knowledge you have in both.If you wise knowledge in mining so you can involve in the Mining. You will get the very huge profit from it.If you want to get more bitcoin means, better go for the trading. But in trading. You should not get panic by seeing the price.

Actually if I have enough money to buy a mining rig then I would rather risk in it on trading or altcoins since I can earn somehow faster there with enough knowledge. For example, I would invest in different altcoins with popular demand such as those newly ended ICO that end up to be a success especially those that hit there max cap. Buying after hitting exchange and distribution of bounty pool will surely make a dump on first and end up going on a hard pump.

If you do have the money to spent on mining rigs then we are capable on doing mining operations which is entirely different on trading itself on which we would manually trade up coins basing on markets movements and talking on the risk i would say it is more riskier than on mining itself but when it comes to mining ROI would really be much longer considering on the mining difficulty do rise over time.
