Hello.
I'm using Windows 10 and have 6 NVIDIA 1700 installed.
I'm using Nicehash miner.
All was working fine, but suddendly Windows stopped to recognize 2 of the cards.
Yesterday, changed PCI ports and i dont know how all started working. But today appenned again, Windows ONLY recognize 4 of my 6 cards. I'm newbie, and i dont know how to troubleshoot. Help needed.
Latest NVIDIA drivers.
AlL GPU are tested and ok.
Could be riser problem? If it is, this are the sintoms?
Why all was working and stopped?

If it's the H110 Pro BTC+ motherboard, check that the risers aren't shorting out. It's unfortunate the PCI-E slots on the ASRock H110 Pro BTC+ board causes the risers to be too close. I had to put two pieces of electrical tape on the back of the risers to keep them from shorting out, causing the GPU's not to be detected.

Since you only are using 6 cards, I would put the in the black PCI-E slots to give them more space. The black PCI-E slots are the primary slots and the white ones are the secondary PCI-E slots. I also set the PCI-E slts to GEN 1 in the Bios.

Computer turned off. Switch all cards to black pci-e slots. Entered on BIOS, and changed USB settings to Gen1. Reboot into Windows. Same problem. Only 4 cards detected of the 6.
When i Start the PC, all cards Start spinning, but this 2, no. Changed GPU place to see if its not hardware problem. All cards are ok. Changed POWER cables. Same. If the problem is from the riser this can bem appenning?

Windows in Legacy mode.
Please remember, that all was working, but today...stopped. i dont use this PC for any other thing. All updates are blocked.

If you switched the risers and cards to confirm they are working, It could be some conflict from switching the PCI-E slots that's causing the cards not to be detected. I would go in to Device Manager and click 'show hidden devices' and delete hidden instances of cards shown. Then uninstall the drivers in safe mode using DDU and shutdown. Then connect only three cards to the black PCI-E slots and install the drivers. After those cards are shown in Device Manager, shutdown and connect the remaining cards to the other black PCI-E slots. Windows should detect the cards and install the drivers. It may take a while for the cards to show up in Device Manager and confirm in Task Manger there is no running instance of the Driver Installation Module running before you reboot.

Thanks for the Help but seams nothing works. Takes off all cards. Windows 10 installed again... Changed risers... that 2 cards doesnt Start. If i chanche them to other riser that is working, they work (not GPU problem). Seams like this Windows doesnt want to work with 6 cards...ONLY 4. But were working yesterday...

Changed PCI risers. And know Windows detects all 6 cards. Used DDU to uninstall on safe mode. Reboot. Installed latest NVIDIA drivers. System seas all graphic Cards, but one of them started to Spin até 100% without notice. No OC, neither OC software installed. If i remove drivers, the fans acts normally.

Is it impossible to use 6 Nvidia 1700 on windows 10 64bits?
I dont believe.
After installing and uninstalling... i can get them to recognize on windows... if i reboot i loose 2 or 1 GPU. Why?
When this appens... the VideoCard does not start when i power on the pc... no even Linux recognize in this way.
The boards are OK. Risers OK... could be problem with the motherboard?

Figured OUT
The problem was not drivers, was not faulty hardware, was not BIOS configurations (This MB is ready for mining out of the box)... the problem was bad power.
Let me explain... i've got one power cable to each Graphic Card.
I've got 3 power cables with SATA connections. One power cable connects 2 PCI risers with sata.
With 4 cards this config is OK.
When i Plug two more cards they does not work.
Solution... One Power cable directly to the risers of the 2 Graphic Card that didn't work.
Tested all OK.
Note for beginners (like me):
You can plug all 6 cards at once.
Install Windows and wait for the system install drivers. It can take a while (10 minutes in my case).
Update nvidia drivers. No need to uninstall the previous ones.
Reboot.
Start Mining.
All NVIDIA 1700, core +100 / mem +620 / power 65%
I think memory could get higher... im testing know.
