Newbie Question : Kraken.com send deposit €100 Euro through SEPA credited €78.72

Sorry for throwing a newbie question here ...
I am trying to deposit some fund €100 to kraken.com, it was successfully credited but the amount is €78.72 ...

Is it normal the way it is?

It's definitely not normal because according to their fees page[1], It should be free to make SEPA deposits and even If there were some fees, It shouldn't be that high, Its better to contact support or post in their bitcointalk thread[2]

Do you check your side, maybe your bank charge this amount, this is just my assumption , better ask support.

Do you check your side, maybe your bank charge this amount, this is just my assumption , better ask support.

He would have been credited the full amount on Kraken (100€), and his bank account deducted for the operation cost. The bank can not reduce the original amount. If it was the case then 22€ is just outrageous. Comparing to me, I pay 0€ if I do it myself and about 4€ if I ask to banker to do it for me (which I never ask)

10 days analysis of the matter ... and just come up with simple one line solution from the support

What currency is your bank account in and did you get your bank to exchange into Euro? If it was exchanged by your bank then it's probably your bank fees and bid/ask spread to blame.

My bank account is local currency.
My bank directly exchanged it to euro + TT fee. Both instantly deducted from my account.

I think from my bank is final.
The gray area ( question ) is from the beneficiary bank ... maybe there are charges for this transaction ... which I don't know

That doesn't make a lot of sense. From what you say your bank should have sent the full 100EUR and I can't see how their bank can deduct that fee. Kraken's response seems to imply that they exchanged it into another currency which doesn't seem right. Well good luck, I hope it gets sorted.
