New version of DEX indeed looks pretty slick. And yes, the roadmap as a whole appears quite promising. One of the few altcoins that actually adds something to the cryptosphere and isn't a steamin' pile of crap. A bit derpy of mine that I sold my stack from ICO ages ago, but bought a new stack roughly around $3,50 several weeks back. Let's see where this ship goes.

Polo are not idiots and would not add anything that would speed up their collapse. Because the waves will do that. End of centralized exchanges!

Bittrex has a lot of volume nowadays. Being on Polo helps a lot, but being on Bittrex can achieve wonders by itself. Korean exchanges can make a big difference on top of that though.

Bittrex has a lot of volume nowadays. Being on Polo helps a lot, but being on Bittrex can achieve wonders by itself. Korean exchanges can make a big difference on top of that though.

I think in the long run decentralized exchanges will overtake centralized exchanges. How many people are complaining about kraken and even bittrex withdrawel limits and KYC programmes. It will only take one or two big new hacks to make most big players want to go to an decentralized exchange. From next week, waves platform with its dex and NG will be miles and miles ahead from any competitors. So maybe right now volume on any exchange is relevant to waves price, but I think we will be seeing a huge influx of new traders on (waves) dex. Also, with every new gateway will come new traders.

To add to this, if there are 100x more transactions than at this point, leasing 1000 waves will give u about 1 wave passive income weekly (not factoring in the new leasing rewards). I think this will happen in not too distant future.

I have a noob question: now Waves' market cap is around 500000k and ETH's market cap is 60x that number. do you think it could be able to close this gap in short time or not? I don't believe Waves is ready to a comparison with ETH, but i would like to hear your opinion!

First thing I have to say, I have great respect for Ethereum, their founders and what they have achieved.

But at some poins Ethereum is losing it's lead.

Let me explain this:

Ethereum exists for ~3 years now and is struggling with scalability. During ICO's there are problems with handling transactions, some people paid over $2000 in gas to participate in an ICO.

Waves is working on scalability right from the start. Currently it has Waves-NG on testnet that will enable 1,000 transactions per second, where ETH can only handle ~7 transactions per second.

Ethereum has the Solidity script language for smart contracts. Though it's very sophisticated, it needs highly skilled coders and comprehensive audits before the smart contracts can be released.
And even then, we all remember the DAO, multisig wallet hacks, multisig wallet locks, etc. It seems to be very hard to write "flawless" code in Solidity.

Waves will implement on a non-Turing complete script language called Sigma. It will be easier and safer to write, audit and implement. "Keep it simple".

Ethereum wallets are difficult to understand and work with for people who are in crypto for the first time. Try the Mist wallet, compare it to the Waves Lite Client and you'll see the difference. There are DEX (decentralized exchanges) for Ethereum but they are slow, not very user friendly or under development.

The Waves Lite Client has a built in DEX, it's easy to use already. After the Waves-NG + new DEX release, it will be lightning fast, even during high transaction volumes.

So currently, Ethereum and Waves are in a different developmental state, where Waves aims at UX / UI and speed right from the start and Ethereum is more or less struggling and awaiting the 2019 (?) Plasma release to catch up.

i understood... thank you very much, you wrote something specific and easy, great job and good luck!

Another thing - Eth is PoW which is energy consuming. Waves is PoS.

Look very impressive and user friendly, so new people will more easy to use it. If all people know about the new dex platform they will consider to use it to trading cryptocurrency

Waves to become the fastest blockchain platform in the world
Waves is implementing new technology, which will enable the network to process thousands of transactions per minute — making it the fastest decentralised blockchain platform in the world. This innovation will bring blockchain technology to the next level of evolution, enabling it to compete with mainstream payment processors and to achieve mass-market adoption. The public stress test will begin on 8th November.

Looks a lot better than the current one. Are the old passwords going to work still? I'm almost sure it will work but just want top clarify all these.  I'm a holder and have not login to my account for quite awhile already which is why I would have to import the passhare after installing a WAVES app. Good to see the price move up already.

No chance for this. IMHO. Bitcoin is so bullish now so no alts ( I mean really cool alts like waves) can start growing very well. Only small and scammy coins may be pumped this time

I use the beta version of dex on my phone. The Waves developers make an excellent application. I will wait for the price for a token more than $ 100 in the future.

I'm glad I created token on waves. It will be difficult when price of waves reaches few hundred dollars.  Smiley I love this waves thing more than ethereum. Really user friendly.
