There is also an FAQ over here, which actually states multiple airdrops of 100 BCH each will take place:

http://support.wavesplatform.com/forums/1-general/topics/9821-bch-airdrop-faq-9-nov-2017/

Thanks, i still think they should have withdraw sashas statement earlier and made if more official though.
I don't want to defend them for things I don't know, and I don't know what exactly was happening. But it might be possible that they wanted to drop the entire amount at once first, but then found out that it would cause legal problems which forced them to change their plans very promptly.

But yeah, I wish that projects would be more anticipating of these problems at the very least.

Devs are great, but communication skills of the waves team could be improved.

Their Telegram is always up to date. I don't really follow the other channels, but if they've got gaps then that would definitely be something to work on.

There's a bunch of tokens on the waves platform that were created with the intention to confuse and scam people on DEX.  The Waves team have updated the DEX to only display names of legit tokens on the platform.  Those that don't show the name and only display the asset ID# should be traded with caution.

Just saw in the liteclient that only the approved tokens shows in the dex. See no more spam tokens etcetera.

See this link for more detailed information:

I even received a BTCG token in my waves wallet yesterday, is this a verified that the team is distributing BTCG? I'm already excited to dump it. 14K of it is really a lot.

They were already airdropping them before I believe I have about 50+ WCT before the airdrop yesterday.

The list of active pools has been updated in the second post.

Please note that smaller pools receive and pay higher amounts of MRT.

Very nice!

Since you're "only" being hopeful about going mainnet at the end of the month, what do you think the latest date at which the mainnet will go live could be?

"Waves announced on Wednesday it is implementing new technology, which will enable the network to process thousands of transactions per minute, which makes it the fastest decentralized blockchain platform in the world.
According to the blockchain platform, “Waves-NG” is described as a next-generation technology designed to increase effective bandwidth and speed of block creation, is especially significant for businesses using Waves, since it allows conducting microtransactions without any delays which are typical for traditional blockchain systems. The tech also allows the platform to withstand high loads, such as the distribution of tokens following crowdsales and airdrops of bonus tokens. The speed of processing trading transactions on Waves decentralized exchange (DEX) is increased as well."

Impressive! 1283.3 tx/s at peak. How much tx/s did it on average? Are there any issues already found during the stress test?

I nevertheless did not understand what you have to do to buy yourself an alias for your Surf deal with, and how you could use after that it exactly.

Not sure if I understand you, but you can create an alias to receive payments.

So instead of giving an address like "3P2HNUd5VUPLMQkJmctTPEeeHumiPN2GkTb" you can give you alias, like "seaiectric" and others can pay to that alias.

It's already working with the official Waves Lite Client / wallets, I don't think exchanges support the feature yet.

Wouldn't that make sending to the wrong address far easier though?

This is true, Waves is one of the biggrst crypto projects right now and the dev team are doing a very amazing job. Even after 2018 or 2020 there will be a lot of things come we can´t imagine right now.
