Hi,

Can anyone let me know best way to get Bitcoin Cash for balances in blockchain as of Aug 1 2017.

Thanks and Regards.

Can you reword the OP, I'm not exactly sure what you mean.
1. If you mean the best way to get out your bitcoin cash, then I'd suggest electron cash wallet.
2. If you mean a wallet explorer online then I'd suggest blockchair

I mean to ask as you mentioned in your first point.

Can you please share the precise method of how to use electron cash and what's the trust level as I have heard that you may loose your BTC for unsuccessful attempt of getting access to Bitcoin Cash funds.

Thanks

This may help - both have step-by-step instructions (the second with screenshots) showing how to do it:

Thanks

1. Send all your coins from your current electrum wallet to another wallet. (You can create a new electric wallet for this - thus stops your btc being stolen). Use at least 15 characters as a password.
2. Download electron cash from a reliable source (search the user fyookball on this forum).
2. Put in to say you already have a seed (second option down after pressing "standard wallet"). I'd then suggest, for greater security, send the bcc to an online wallet or a wallet for bitcoin cash on a separate computer.

The electron cash should be fairly safe as it was created by the user fyookball. If you don't trust it, run it on a separate computer/OS or on a VM. If you want to get better security, use the bitcoin cash version of bitcoin ABC.

Thanks. The second one is more detailed and looks more easier as explained through images as well. Do you know anyone or you personally have tried it and was successful or not?

I have done essentially the steps below which seem to be reflected in the threads above.

One thing the second link doesn't mention, which you should do in my view is to move your bitcoins to a new address first.

Then once you have a few confirmations, using Electron sweep you bitcoin cash to your BCC wallet.  Then convert to BTC or sell. Shapeshift.io is easy for small amounts and doesn't require an account, but there are many others like bittrex for trading larger amounts.
