 Completely noob question here folks...apologise in advance, but I am new to Elix(bought some about a week ago)...tried reading the forums, website etc still confused about mining. Is it a possibility for a noob, or it is just for those real early holders of TME? If it is a possibility for anyone, then how? If it's not, then why is it even mentioned on the site? I'm just a bit confused so would appreciate any help.

If you are not a Genesis Holder (there was an Airdrop in TME the name before ELIX) then you cant Mine Elix. Only Genesis Holders can do this and they can do this only 10 times (Batches) The actual Batch size you can look at the Hompage (max is 5000 in 10 Years) EDIT: I think its mentioned on the Webpage so its clear for investors how the mining function is and everyone can calculate for himself the max supply. anybody here who knows how to read the graphs? please explain, there were green candles with huge volume a couple of days ago. now I am seeing red candles with much less volume, what does it mean? there were lots of buyers who pumped up the price, but now people are selling with less volume, but the price is still going down

Nothing is going up forever, always big whales take profit and crash the market, its good and its natural for healthy growth in price. if the coin will enter to new and bigger exchanges it will make the spikes smaller, but still can pump hard and then crash. if you believe in the project * fundamentally* you don't need to pay attention to spikes, just longterm trend, and its clearly growth. if you don't know what you are doing - holding is the best option. I read the whitepaper, but I really don't understand it all.
It talks about both lender and borrower being rewarded when the loan is given back on time..
But it looks like the only way to generate Elix is by Genesis Holders to mint them manually?
This is all very confusing.
I love the logo and design, the concept looks nice but the explanations are really aweful. I'm definitely not an expert in blockchain technology but I can't see any casual person understanding this coin right now.

I am quite casual and I understand the basics. Someone wants a new laptop, but he doesnt have the money right now. Loan him some ether, he converts that into fiat and gets the laptop. He gets salary and buys ether and sends it back to you. Both you and him receive free ELIX. No paying fees/ interest to banks, but actual getting money out of the loan. On the current price: Wait until 2018. Then the app should go live. It's just a few months. Get them ELIX cheap, wait....?? PROFIT. |

Don't buy the genesis wallets. The seller would still hold the private keys. You would be easily scammed.

I have locked my private key to myetherwallet where my Elix is stored.
Can not open the safe before 8 months. So I can not sell before that. Gonna have a big party in 2018 when I open the safe

There is a very active discord channel where we often discuss progress with the Dev's
That makes posting on the ANN thread a replication of what has been discussed already.
So everyone questioning this coin's existence or want to consider it dead, fine by me. Apparently you don't have any clue what you are talking about neither do you have any idea about the potential of it :-) In such cases its probably better to move on and pick a better match for your exquisite taste.
Keep this thread clean from nonsense and go back to the trollbox on cex.

Nice project, the lending services look nice. We got scammed in salt.
Elix is gonna be good.
You scammed yourself by participating in the ICO probably. Elixir is fairly airdropped and built from the ground up w/o any public funding. Salt and Elixir scope differently and both will proof its value in the future but for investment gains I should opt for Elixir though. With a 2.5 mio market cap this is a real undervalued coin and even when its hits 20% of Salt's cap (which is reasonable) you are looking at massive gains along the road to implementation |
