I think the same, my honest opinion:

I think we have a lot of bullshit coins out there and I know that the most people do not have any idea about the tech and I do not invest in those coins, why ? Because I can not sleep well if the market is going down for some weeks and I know that I have just any hype coin. That is the reason why I am holding just coins with a use scenario.

Personally I would like to use elixir, the idea is great and I like the idea with a app for ios and android, and what do you think in which coin will new investors ( conserativ ones ) invest after maybe bitcoin and ethereum? I think in coins which they can already use and see a product, that is why I think elixir will get to 15- 20$ in 2018, the first srsly pump will come with the alpha release.

Actually I am happy with the price because I like to buy more before the alpha is comming.

And I hope that we will hit some bigger exchanges, kucoin is really nice but coinexchange is just cancer.

I get your point. But its now, more than ever, time for a working and not scamming loan platform

Elix is not same type of lending platform that bitconnect, or any of those other ponzi schemes. Bitconnect was a ponzi scheme where bitconnect bought your coins back for usd, and payed a daily interest and in turn and they sold your coins back on the exchange for a much higher price then what they paid you. Elix functions in a much different manner, and is a real peer to peer lending platform, not a ponzi scheme. Read the whitepaper.

In addition, the lending service will eliminate the need to pay for brokers. I would like to buy ELIX on CoinExchange. For the deposit ETH its mentioned the following:
Internal Transactions Please note we do not support incoming 'internal transactions'. Please make sure the service you are using is using a regular transaction for all deposits to our system. We will not recover internal transactions.

Can I use for despoit Coinbase? I think there will not be a problem, but I would like to ask before sending there regulart amount of money.  Does anyone use this platform for this?

A fact is a fact and the fact is that Elixir is performing below the market.
When the market bleeds, Elixir bleeds harder. When the market is on a run, Elixir is having a walk in the park.
I'm really doubting if they will ever recover.
I will be happy when Elixir return to $1 or more. But I don't expect this before the summer.

Elixir just rose from $.06 to 2.60 in a month that's almost X45, it was over due for a correction, so between the correction and bitcoin dropping it looks worse than it actually is.  You're doubts if it will recover are just silly at this point. 

You do have a point concerning the steep rise to 2.6 but we are now on back on .6.

Also, we must keep in mind, that many other coins on Kucoin, tool a very heavy hit. Ku-Coin has lost 3/4 of its volume in the past 2 weeks, the market is very very bearish right now.

I have been with this project since start and i love the working style of Dev's and their constant updates.
I still feel its very much undervalued, it certainly deserve top 200 position. Which puts it into 80-100 million MCAP, which i thing it will reach in coming months.

I have seen ups and downs for Elix in terms of only rates but progress never stopped which is amazing part of this project.

Many ICO coming in Lending space, but ELIX is unique where we venture in crowdfunding as well. And I think many use cases in making.

If you see closely the quality of content and development shown by Dev team is not you see normally in Crypto.

I think its time to buy more than to worry at all.

Now, team is known, they can work and market freely which will bring more adoption to project. They can openly represent Elix in crypto events and community which will give significant visibility.

I advise Dev team to participate in coming blockchain conference around the world, which will really help this project.

I disagree, a loan is a loan, and ideally we want the crowd funding platform - lets say a business wants a loan but their bank offers a 2% interest rate, Elixir with its crowdfunding feature can offer a loan at 1.5-1.8% (For example) - So a bunch of Elixians crowdfund - the business is happy, Elixians are happy, the Bank on the other hand might not be too happy -- flash forward a few months and banks want to buy and hodl Elixir to distribute cheaper loans to each other.

Elixir Token
Every platform within the Elix mobile application and future web application will run initially on
the Elixir token. Unlike other platforms which simply have a token for the sake of pre-mines and
ICOs, the Elixir token’s value is linked directly with its ability to provide a means of payment and
financial value. We have plans to include fiat currency integration to allow users to quickly, and
easily, exchange their tokens for fiat currency. This requires additional legal work, and we will
keep the community updated in this area.

WP doesn't explain clearly the features of the token and what it represents. What does ELIX token actually do? Thanks

this is a very good example when it comes to activity and further development of the project.
the two devs are actually active almost every day and try that ELIX grows as fast as possible

When I hear the term crowdfunding I think of kickstarter. Its more of a group of people liking a project and contributing. A loan requires some metrics of the person asking for the loan. Currently we have FICO scores, which need a lot of improvement... So they are actually two very different things. While a loan organization can easily also offer crowd funding, doing this will limit itssuccess. A company needs to be focused on one area to succeed. Facebook could not succeed at business social media and personal social media, which is why linkedin came into the picture. I think what is going to hold ELIX back is its slightly broad focus.

totally agree crowdfunding and loan can work together to make the platform grow, crowfunding plateform needs money to create project loans on the over and can help to make this money flow in, lending platform as we know it in the cryptoworld are more ponzy scheme than tangible loan. if the loaning interest came from people needing money and not new loaners it can be a healthy platform.

Transitioning To Alpha

This week’s update is focused on development progress, both in the smart contracts and app.

Automated Testing

This week, we began working with AE.studio to begin an initial 80 hour engagement. We anticipate expanding this engagement length if needed. We began today by reviewing the logic of the crowdfunding code, and found no urgent changes needed. Currently, we are creating automated tests for the crowdfunding contract using Truffle. These test cases will help us verify the expected behavior of the contract. We’ve created an automated set of proposal tests that all pass, and are currently building additional tests for pledging tokens. We plan to continue testing the smart contract throughout this week and beyond.

Once the automated crowdfunding testing is complete, we will transition to working on the token manager. The token manager will need a few modifications to handle ELIX and produce the upcoming rewards token, dubbed “Token P.” We’ve already created a prototype contract for Token P. Afterwards, we anticipate conducting the same type of automated testing on the token manager contract.

Mobile Application

As part of the process in transitioning to Alpha testing, we are moving our testing environments from a local test network to the Ethereum test network known as Ropsten. Ropsten will help provide us an idea of what interactions on the Ethereum main network will be like using the mobile application, since the test network simulates the Ethereum main network.

The Beta testing that we will be launching in Q2 will be integrated with Ropsten as well, so that users can test out the functionalities of the mobile application using fake Ether and fake tokens (the Ropsten network does not contain any currency of monetary value, that is why these are being referred to as “fake”).

Website translation

We have begun the process of having our website translated into many languages to have Elix reach as many people as possible. This effort is being driven forward completely by the Elixir community, who we want to thank for their continued support and contributions in helping out with translating our goals and ideas. The current languages that we are translating to include: German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Finnish, Norwegian, Filipino, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Indonesian, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, and Hindi.

App UI Redesign

Redesign of the app frontend is expected to begin soon. The design firm has agreed to begin working on the app in early February. We’ve been impressed by their past work, and look forward to sharing their progress in the near future.
