Just days ago, predictions and projections were pointing to the possibility that Bitcoin can be able to clobbered the $5,000 mark and it did happen. But what followed was a big correction due to massive sell-off (profit-taking is the possible reason here which is nothing alarming actually) and so we are now back almost at the $4,500 - $4,600 range.
However, since Bitcoin had already broken the $5,000 wall, it would be now easier for it to do it again this time. We just don't know when can that be...will it be tomorrow, next week or just within the month of September?
I would have been worried if even some people didn't sell at $5000. Profit taking is perfectly natural, just like FOMO. Now we just have to wait for the FOMO sentiment to kick in, and we will be over $5,000. |

I really dont know how I missed the point of achieving the $5k mark and it would be something I would be happy about to have seen it happen in my own very eyes but all hope is not lost because I know for it to be achieved means its very much possible. It has been broken before, it can be broken again and dont let us loose hope as we can get there again. Lets keep it going people. |

I hope bitcoin could reach $5000 next month. I already sell out my bitcoins after bitcoin exploded up to $4900 i've been waiting it for a long time right now im waiting for another dump and then buy bitcoin and wait till bitcoin price reach $5000 in that case i can make another profit as a trader. it's not that easy to be a trader all you need to have is a guts and take a risk.

Maybe in the very far future some fork of Bitcoin can reach $5000 again, but with all the upcoming drama and regulation it's highly unlikely. Your best bet is to get your money safe while you still can, this drama and panic is only going to get worse for the foreseeable future.

Even though Kwukduck is known for mindless FUDDING, he's probably right about this one. Wait till November, choose the right chain and invest back. I've already gone to alt coin market, which will give me MUCH greater return no matter what happens to bitcoin (if it crashes, or goes to $1M). |

Do you think in November the scenario will change on market? Because in past days, after the price of Bitcoin increased to $5,000 (or near this price) other altcoin breakdown normal, however when the price of Bitcoin dumped to under $4,300 on Poloniex exchange, altcoin market also cannot recovery. Therefore, I think Bitcoin still strong and altcoin need wait until November for comeback. |

If the price increase means you may sell at that time. the declining bitcoin price in a few days is indeed a natural thing because bitcoin has a very rapidly changing price fluctuations. the price in my opinion is still in a very safe range, so buying some bitcoin is not a disadvantage. look at the future prospects that bitcoin prices are predicted to increase again even above 5000 $. we will see a more steady rise after breaking 5000 $ and this will continue to reach the 6000 $ limit, I think it will continue and we should go to a range of prices that might be called a safe bitcoin price limit. |

I am confident and believe if a couple days longer bitcoin definitely will return with $5000 and prices will continue to rise so we suggest that you should hold your bitcoin until price bitcoin best on this month and in case of price increases again of course you could be selling at that time and you will get a huge profit and doubled

Yeah, it will most likely reach the 5000$ again. It is easier to get there when you hace already been there.
Plus, the rumors and people saying it will touch 5000$ probably make many people expect that price to sell as you say. Sure it was the price target for many, and thus they sold once it reached it.

This month is for breaking 5k on all exchanges. It will be tested several times this month. Reason is to see if the price can be maintained above 5000 per one bitcoin, if this proves to be good speculation then we can move on speculation will price of bitcoin even go above 7000 by this years end. Or it will be broken and set to go down in price after hard fork in November.

As long as there is no established support on a higher level like 4700 and above, it can be considered as a momentary spike and did not broken the resistance at all. It can still test that level in the near future though. but now the price is still going down, so it may take more time before it goes to that level again.

The correct question would be "When will Bitcoin break $5,000 again?". There really is no stopping Bitcoin. We surely could see Bitcoin retracing for months or even a year and longer. However it's extremely unlikely that it wouldn't eventually flip back into a bull market and stampede the $5,000 target.
Don't forget that the market cap of Bitcoin (and cryptos in general) is extremely low considering the potential value. There's little to no doubt that Blockchains will revolutionize most aspects of modern human life in one form or another. It's just a question of when and how (e.g. will governments support it or try to bring it down and thus shoot themselves in the foot).
