This is completely unknown to us. Bitcoin is so volatile that even the most experienced traders cannot model it accurately and predict the outcomes with high hit rates. However, i think that most likely we will break $5000 this month.

Main reason is that people is still looking to profit in btc, even though the dump has occurred there is still a lot of people saying bitcoin will rise by $2000 this month and whatnot. This optimism is ill-advised but imo will translate into greens for btc.

But after it hits $5k i'm not bullish at all. I think that would be the bull trap, and people will pull out very soon after $5k is breached. That could mean the end of the bubble, potentially.

There might be many upcomming bubbles. So it might end some day but there will always be next pump. No matter what the price there will always be another price target. Every payment made in btc is stagnant but how it increase in dollars are really what matters to most users here. Probably there will be 7K. increase in the month of september and there will also speculations on 10k. So i guess this price increase is just normal for btc.

Nah. I think it's going to retest the resistence lines at $4400 and $4200 in the next week. And only if it manages to stay above $4000 will it try to retest $5000 again.

This is not really a "bubble" that will pop eventually. Bitcoin has been always like this, increasing steadily then jumping from X dollars to XX dollars overnight then dropping back down. But after that dropdown, it will continue to increase, normally. We can expect Bitcoin to be stable about $5200 levels (what I am speculating here) in a few weeks if not few days. With transaction fees dropping thanks to SegWit, I don't see a negative reason not to have that price increase.

Bitcoin has not actually broken the $5k wall on most exchanges. There were only a few exchanges based in asia that had this barrier broken and that was because of a illiquid currency being used in trading with bitcoin.

On bitfinex, the ATH was around $4970 and similarly on other western exchanges.

Anyways, i think that we will definitely be breaking the barrier soon. It would most likely happen this month. I'd say give it a week or two to recover and then we could potentially see another pretty big pump coming up to push us over $5000. I just don't know if there are going to be as many profit takers as this time to drive the price down as soon as we hit $5k.

No. It will be sustainable as long as there will be some new investor joining with us. You will be never able to compare with what happened in 2013 if you are ready to consider the environmental growth of bitcoin's system. Those 2013 rally ended up in bursting just due to the collapse of at that time's only one crypto-to-fiat exchange. But the supporting things are completely different at present times.

You cannot expect any major crash in coming months to year as there are enough investors are eyeing for lower prices to buy. Whales are also losing their power for the same reasons.

First of all, no exchange of any significant importance had hit the $5000!!
And secondly I can not see any big or massive sell off. We've seen corrections of 25% in the last few months. And now we were barely at 10%, depending on the exchange you're looking at. Bitcoin and cryptos are still very volatile. The guys who are in this space for a few years now know this and got used to it. Such dips are opportunities to buy more or are entry points for others to get in. But definitely no reason for a panic. So chill out! Sooner or later we will go for 5k and break it. The exact point in time (september, october, november, december or next year) is irrelevant imo.

I really dont know how I missed the point of achieving the $5k mark and it would be something I would be happy about to have seen it happen in my own very eyes but all hope is not lost because I know for it to be achieved means its very much possible. Do you think in November the scenario will change on market?
Because in past days, after the price of Bitcoin increased to $5,000 (or near this price) other altcoin breakdown normal, however when the price of Bitcoin dumped to under $4,300 on Poloniex exchange, altcoin market also cannot recovery.

Absolutely, I would be buying more bitcoins today as the price is going down and this is a perfect opportunity to really enter the ecosystem with good price because its likely that bitcoin can go to $5000 again. I think we will be close to 6K, or even above it by then.

We really don't know exactly what will happen, but I also think that bitcoin will hit $5000 again, maybe by the end of the year. We know now that bitcoin can really increase that high amount. And maybe greater than that.

Why not? Once the China effect wean off, I expect Bitcoin to touch the $5,000 per coin level. Anyway, in November we are going to have the 2 MB block size implementation. That is going to be the next trigger. If implemented properly, the prices can go up by 10% to 20% in a matter of few days. Anyway, the number of users are increasing by around 10% every month. I assume that the exchange rates will also increase proportionally.

There is a saying that "history repeats itself" but I don't believe that will happen in bitcoin. It's there will be some crash but not permanent, we will see $5,000 for sure in a matter of months or if not possibly it will be getting back there on December before this year ends. This is the most exciting days of the year because bitcoin's price is verily increasing by that time.

I don't think bitcoin will reach $5000 in December, more likely it will reach $4K and I also have strong feeling it will reach $5K by middle or end of 2018 - or maybe even more.
Just wait, China is trying to regulate crypto and when they succeed - and I believe they will -  I can only see more people in crypto world, and it means more people will buy and use bitcoins.

Nah, I do believe that it's possible to happen if you had witnessed 2016's ending year the price increased too much after December. And it's like a pattern that there will be some small increase and later on January the price will be fast in increase.  We have 3 more months to wait and see those movement in price and as I really see that there is a possibility to happen.

I speculate it can go up to $6000 before the end of the year, and I've seen at least two Bitcoin experts say the same. But I have no hurry, long term holder here.

Any amount is possible just don't go too far and be realistic in the speculation. The price is up and good now, so we'll see on the upcoming days if what's going to happen with the price of bitcoin. Hmm I have a predict, if the price of Bitcoin will not fall down to bellow $3,000 again or keep stable at $3,xxx price range till the end of this month, maybe it will drop down earlier of October.

the price will be ranging in 3800 to 4100 level in this month and next month we will see back the price moving above 5000 level as china will fully regulate the bitcoin procedure for users and exchange and then everyone will start buying back.

Just days ago, predictions and projections were pointing to the possibility that Bitcoin can be able to clobbered the $5,000 mark and it did happen. But what followed was a big correction due to massive sell-off (profit-taking is the possible reason here which is nothing alarming actually) and so we are now back almost at the $4,500 - $4,600 range.

However, since Bitcoin had already broken the $5,000 wall, it would be now easier for it to do it again this time. We just don't know when can that be...will it be tomorrow, next week or just within the month of September?

Only God knows when bitcoin will reach another $5000 mark. For sure, bitcoin will reach that amount in time may be next month.

Why everyone keeps on saying that bitcoin is a bubble? No it is not a bubble remember that. When the dip happened it's very hard to think at that moment that bitcoin can comeback at $5,000 but when the price starts to increase, it's giving us an idea that bitcoin is very possible to be seen again at the better rate. And checking for today, the price of bitcoin hits $3,700.

Yes that is human nature they dont believe in these things they always want profit the only thing you need to do is have believe and trust in bitcoin that it will go up and up to the sky then you will make more profit than ever.

The belief is there, we all believe in bitcoin that it will skyrocket in the future. And this week is a good greener week unlike the past week everything is falling down even the alt coins. The alt coins are pumping too and don't even think that they are also in bubble. When bitcoin's price is starting to step into a better price there are some people that aren't happy and even criticizing that it's just a bubble.

The altcoin price are pumping due to the price of BTC go up, and Just see if there btc value will increase and not in usd value in exchange so that we can tell that the alts really pump up for this time. But let's hope that this current positive instance will continue with bitcoins so that we can earn even more for trading our prehold alts when the dump of btc came last week.

Before I observed that when bitcoin's price is pumping, alt coin prices will be dumped but now it has changed. When bitcoin is pumping others will follow it's pump and when it is dumping the whole crypto currency economy is also dumping. It's possible that bitcoin's price will be going down again but let's all be optimistic as the price gets stable at $3,900 and hoping it will not be bullish to fall.

Yes! There is a possibility that it will go up to 5 grand but there is also a chance that it will go down just like in the past week. We will never, no one actually knows if it will go up or go down that depends on the demand/supply (Business,marketing etc.)  Well, if in case that I will earn BTC - I will hold it until the exchange rates goes up to more than 5k and I'll definitely sell it for money

China is already out of the market already so we need something that will really push to price to this level. It can fall in the first week of October or for the half month. But we are still not seeing the price of bitcoin rushing go to the top as we are expecting after a dump the price will rise again to another ATH. But right now, it's good to see that bitcoin's price is becoming positive and good to check all the time. There is something that we need to stay tune as there is another FUD about mining by another CEO.

We will probably see $10,000 this year. Might be just wishful thinking but there are to many institutions looking to get in on Bitcoin to just be at $5000. I think we are just fueling at this levels for the final stretch before we see bitcoin retrace to $3000 - $4000.

There's a possibility to increase bitcoin into $5000 suddenly, maybe it will not happen this year, because lately crypto currency society were experience a critical problems.
