Just days ago, predictions and projections were pointing to the possibility that Bitcoin can be able to clobbered the $5,000 mark and it did happen. But what followed was a big correction due to massive sell-off (profit-taking is the possible reason here which is nothing alarming actually) and so we are now back almost at the $4,500 - $4,600 range.

However, since Bitcoin had already broken the $5,000 wall, it would be now easier for it to do it again this time. We just don't know when can that be...will it be tomorrow, next week or just within the month of September?

I'm not awared with this. I didn't know that it already reached the 5000 dollar mark this month. As far as I know, the highest market value that Bitcoin reached is 4800 dollar and it is the highest value Bitcoin had sincw its existence. But it is possible for Bitcoin to reach the 5000 dollar mark by December and it will be because of the fork that will happen in the month of November, because the fork that happened last month of August made Bitcoin reach the 4000 dollar mark, so things are expected to happen again.

It briefly touches $5000 but then some traders immediately sold when we reach that price. This is now the mental barrier, where previously it was $3000. You need to backtrack to see that indeed on some exchanges bitcoin touch $5000. I advise you to check the Press Release section of the forum.

With the current situation, specially the news coming from China, it seems to be that we need more time to be able to get to $5000 again. The panic is here again because of the negative news like banning of ICO and shutting down of Chinese local exchanges has put a dent in the price. However, when every is cleared again, we may see the price go up again or even a massive bull run to touch $5000 again.

What makes you think that it will hit to $7000 in the end of September? As far as i can see the price is not moving upward in the past few days, it is moving downward guys. Can't you see it? I think bitcoin will hit $7000 after November or in December. Since the hard fork doesn't occur yet and there's another possible that the split of coins will going to happen and there will be another alt coins will be made.

Right now, I think everything depends on what happens with the news out of China.  We did recover quite well after the news of the ICO ban, so I don't think that's too much of a concern in the longer term.  But the real question right now is about China's bitcoin exchanges as Chinese trading and bitcoin ownership make up a decent chunk of the market.  Participants appear to be waiting to see whether China is going to do anything about existing cryptos.  If they do, for example, ban bitcoin exchanges, the price is likely going to crash hard.  If official news comes out saying that they aren't going to do anything negative, I think we'll see a quick rally up to the $5000 area and possibly beyond.

I am positive that this will be possible to happen again, because current situation can be arranged and negotiated with china government. Maybe the bigger whales of china will organize certain discussions of this banning, but we must be looking forward to it and successful result will come out in the end. However this not a new issue about fluctuations and I think there is something to do with the china's bitcoin holder in order for the price to go down and in the future rise of price their holder will benefit again specially their people.

Please be careful that you try to understand why price reacts to different events the way it does.  Don't just assume that because the price jumped after a fork before that it will jump after the next one.  Now, I'm not going to claim that I know for sure why the price jumped after the last fork.  But from what I've read and understand about cryptos and bitcoin, I think the market was already "planning" to go higher at the end of July.  It seemed to pause to see if the bitcoin cash fork was going to happen and if it was going to have a negative impact on bitcoin.  The fork happened, and after a couple of days, when it was pretty clear that the fork wasn't going to hurt bitcoin, the rally resumed.  My point is that we might get a rally after the next fork, but we may not.  Unless there's concern that the fork will mess things up, the fork probably will not cause a rally.

Well, i think bitcoin price will reach at $5000 again in the future i guess, and i think the current price movement is merely a temporary droping movement and will leads to a higher direction again. Which makes me sure, since i already knew it / read some articles about bitcoin that bitcoin prices will most likely soaring higher after this. I'm hoping that China doesn't ban bitcoin--it doesn't seem very likely that they would outright ban it.  But if they do, the Chinese are going to dump like there's no tomorrow because for them there would be no tomorrow.  If China shuts down all of their exchanges, it's going to be much harder for the Chinese to turn their bitcoin into yuan, and there are a lot of people, especially the miners, who are going to want to get out immediately.  I could see a scenario like that being worse than when Mt. Gox died.

Precisely, of course we could see that bitcoin will be in $5000 again. Bitcoin is unpreditable and volatile, no one knows what will be the future of bitcoin but I can assure that before this year end or even this month bitcoin could reach that amount. That was surprising that bitcoin finally hit $5000 price wall I didn't noticed it lately, anyway its still okay that it dropped back to $4500 atleast the price is getting stable on that and did not fall back to its previous level . It's really amazing to see bitcoin reaching the level of value which is only a dream of most of us before, let's just wait what will happen next .
