They've been around for quite a while, the do a rather high volume of exchanges, and I've not yet heard any complaints other than the fact that they tend to run out of funds quickly in which case you have to wait for more funds to become available.

You have to check-out bitcoin-otc Web of Trust at http://bitcoin-otc.com/. It's not automatic and you'll have to get a nickname and generate identity using GPG keys. It took me two days to get me up and running there but it is worth the effort. A lot of users there with high ratings are selling/buying BTC for MoneyPak, Liberty Reserve, PayPal, Amazon Gift Cards, etc.
