Here's a few suggestions!

* Silk road, make profit.
* Buy avalon chips from a group buy and get a klondike board?
* Spend it on chicks and fine wine? Oh wait... they don't take bitcoin do they?
* Gamble it all away!
* Do the weirdest thing ever and sell it for fiat.

Or, or donate it to some of the people driving the community forward (and thus attributing value to bitcoin)

* Take skydiving lessons! (Probably someone on the forum who can instruct for bitcoin) Wink

Hope you like the suggestions Smiley

buy a laptop (cheap off craigslist)

setup armory https://bitcoinarmory.com/  offline version of course

create a paper wallet backup

go and see your lawyer and setup a security box that is to be opened only upon your death.  make sure it is all in the will and properly setup.

put it all in the box along with whatever disposable bitcoins you have so your family or loved ones are taken care of when and if you die.  make sure you include instructions on what to do with BTC

don't like this idea OK but ask yourself .... am i OK with my family loosing all my bitcoins i have in a brainwallet.  are they counting on that money?

there are  good posts about how to do this properly if you do a search

well as  long as someone knows it .

As for the 4.4999 spend it on whatever makes you and your family happy.

do some soul searching till you know what "that " is and then do a search for someone willing to trade bitcoin for "that"

Might as well just hang on to them. Or buy into an alt coin that you think will boom later.

Send them to a wallet on your phone and hoard them there. You will have them when you really need them.

 Here is what comes to mind.  You can invest it, in a bitcoin related businesses that you have faith will be successful and will give you a nice return from the initial investment.  You can browse the goods, auctions or services sections and see what's posted.  There is some interesting stuff there you may like

If your feeling generous you can post some kind of contest for bitcoins.  Whatever you do be cautious of scams, there is a lot of that also.  Ofcousre as last resort if none of my other suggestions strike your fancy, I guess I could take some coinage off your hands just this once. Cheesy
Seriously though there's a few interesting options worth looking into, hope u find something that suits u, cheers

  • You could buy the last remaining 2% of my Avalon 85Gh/s (4 module+PSU) mining rig @ 3.8BTC as an investment.
  • You could spend 0.01BTC on newbiejail.org that claims to be able to get you out of newbie jail, and see if it's a scam so that the rest of us know whether it is or not
  • You could donate it to the Bitcoin 100
  • You could use it to help sponsor the new non-profit Bitcoin EU Convention 2013 in Amsterdam

Might as well let it sit in coinlenders.com accruing interest until you decide what to do with it.

(I am not affiliated with this site but I do have some BTC stored there.)

Haha, I know it sounds like a shill post but I haven't been paid anything :-)

I started buying bitcoin back in early Feb. and have been lurking on the forums since around then and finally registered an account here (hence the reason it probably looks even more shill-y).

Doesn't matter to me if OP uses that site or not, I'm just trying to give some suggestions.

I would 100% try the newbiejail thing but I am like 50 minutes away from it happening hah!

Spend them for buying things you need or would enjoy. For example on https://www.bitcoinstore.com/
