While the website is nice, the launch leaves a lot to be desired. A web designer and android dev coin. Next time include an experienced altcoin dev in your team OP. No server owner will run your pre-compiled binaries (without source) on their Linux servers unless they are extremely lazy or stupid.

Tbh I'm flabbergasted. Launching a coin without sourcecode available is extremely stupid.

Thank you! I actually thought they had stolen my projects name and codebase to start with, but it seems it's a different coin. This launch has really confused some of my coins users, some of them even thinking I bailed on my project to start this one.
I wish these devs would search the bitcointalk fourms and see that IRIDIUM ALREADY EXISTS - this coin should be renamed.

Why they would delete the file from their github is beyond me, not to mention the very untraditional approach of having the sourcecode in a rar-file instead of directly on github. Also it's funny how OP won't address any of the issues.

Well I think we should wait for the dev to com forward and explain few details which I see he has done previously. All new projects have bumpy rides but if he is able to answer all the questions that crowd has, I think thats what is needed to make this a success.

I read the comments here and some are confused as it seemed there are two coins now with the same name "Iridium". Whichever came later should modify the coin name.

Anyways, I'm interested about this coin as it has No ICO and I believe this is very good especially now that more countries are declaring ICOs as illegal.

Hi, While i understand the other Dev. concerns about the name of the coin. I was developing this project for months, I cant change the name of the coin just because the other coin was posted a day earlier. This project and "IRD coin" are very different. But i wish the other dev. Good luck. and just i hope people are not confuse about the 2 coins. I will try my best to clarify people about the 2, when asked!

Why is it weird to have a file on .rar? There are instances you can compress your file lie sending over to another dev to collaborate in the project!!  The source code is on GitHub https://github.com/iridiumcash/Iridium/tree/master/iridium Please Review it. I am not trying to hide anything here, Else i would've created a new GitHub account to upload the code. I am trying to answer everyones questions and address all concerns about the project.

Yes, the only way to get "IRI coins" without having to mine with computer power is to download the app and invite others to the app with your "Mining Code". 50% of the coins will be distributed With the app.

How is development going to be funded?

Until now the development of this project was totally funded by me. But soon i will have to be asking for donation to maintaining the project.
This idea came up because i had friends trying to get into Bitcoin but they just gave up before getting started. So the idea came up to build the coin and the app to ease the process of getting into Cryptos.

I hope people will donate.
