It may be slowness with the blockchain -  which is exactly what we hope to alleviate with this release.

No it is not. We're not trying to capitalize on their brand, unfortunately the project founder chose the symbol '4CHN' -  we're going to work on changing this after 0.15 is out.

Today's (un-official) Dev update.

After a mammoth development session yesterday, all major bugs appear to have been squashed for 0.15.

Windows build is now compiled with the updated code and other builds will follow today once the devs have got some well earned rest.

On this basis I would estimate that the exchanges will be contacted in the next 24 hours to start updating their wallets and a formal announcement will go out in due course.

Reporting from Chancoin City: Awareness is growing and the combined efforts of Beef, Ghostie and somewhat Aoba(since he joined in the beginning) have set the discord crypto world on fire.  Chancoin search stats on Google have reached an ATH and literally is blowing through the roof.  The one weird thing that I noticed is that in 2004.............Chancoin was searched alot and for what reason I have no clue.   Bitcoin was invented/released in 2009.............the joke here is Chancoin was the first conceived??!!! hahaaha.  Anyhow, good things on all fronts............development wise and of course awareness wise in cryptoworld.  Congratulations everyone.  Chancoin is a go in 2018!

The next date for diaries is the 14th February. This is the timed date for Cloverhash (the ASIC resistant hash algo) to go live on the Chancoin block-chain.

This date is hard-coded in the 0.15 Wallet release.

Cloverhash will also activate if block 30k is reached sooner, as we are at block 22,226 it is highly un-likely that block 30k will be reached before the deadline of 14th February.

A few things to consider:
1) Update the Twitter account to https://twitter.com/chancoindev
2) Take away the Novaexchange as it will be closed soon

5) The whole sales page needs to be refreshed, updated.

during this transition wallets will be updated to the latest version and the ticker '4chan' will change to 'chan' e.g. on cryptopia it is CHAN/BTC now rather than 4chan/BTC.

coinmarketcap (CMC) and other price trackers will be all over the place until the transition is completed so hodlers dont panic if you load up CMC.

I just want to clarify that we're not really re-branding as 'chancoin' since the coin was called 'chancoin' from the beginning - we're just changing the ticker symbol. But thanks Bestof for the update

Dev update - the 0.15.2 wallet is in the process of being compiled for windows and OS X for final testing which will fix the syncing bug with 0.15.1.

Coinmarketcap has also been fixed with the new Chan ticker.

Chancoin City reporting in:   We're going to have a 2000 member party in a couple days.  We'll probably have close to 5k by the end of the contest.  Lots of memes being made and doing a bunch of extra art stuff to display Chancoin in a more fun light.  Ghost and Beef are working on a Chancoin mascot anime character with an artist called "Sleepsan."  I have seen some of the sketches and the Chancoin girl looks pretty cool.  Girl is destined for the moon.  We have a trello board with all of the missions we need to accomplish regarding the marketing aspect of the coin.  While Gossamer, Name and Metagame are cranking away we are working out basic things cosmetically that help the coin as well............not to mention constantly backfiring all the hate talk of the coin being "dead."  Of course it will be easier when the fork and Cloverhash algo comes out.  GO CHANCOIN GO!!!
