We should all expect a "terror attack" with the villains supposedly funded by BTC. The feds and media would have a field day with that.
Wait for it...

Terrorists seem to like to move money using Western Union. Why have we not outlawed Western Union as it is clearly dangerous? I understand that we are going to outlaw pressure cookers soon.

Western Union requires ID. The biggest threat to TPTB from BTC is anonymity. Eventually governments will start saying all anonymous currencies are terrorist tools and must be banned. While they can't ban the currencies outright, they can make transfer from fiat almost impossible.

HSBC have already been caught red handed money laundering for terrorists and drug dealers so it's not going to make much difference regardless of how much they scream about it.

Anyone who isn't at least a bit concerned about Bitcoin funding terrorism is fooling themselves. I like Bitcoin, but I like being alive even more.

Who decides who is terrorist? Governments. Well, fuck all governments. I hope all organizations use Bitcoin for funding, even "terrorist" label ones.

While they can't ban the currencies outright, they can make transfer from fiat almost impossible. Just another dude trying to buy cheap bitcoins again. Wait for it... WU asking for ID means nothing. Ask any Nigerian Princes seeking help with their millions if only you could share your US bank account http://www.419eater.com/Now I would agree the banksters, a lot of them here right now on this forum will do everything in their power to put a brake on bitcoin. Most of the bitcoin believers understand this already. My question to you is: are you on board no matter what? Buy $50 worth of bitcoins. Hold them, spend them. Be part of the bitcoin ecosystem. If not, be part of the FUD machine.

I think main "terroristic attacks" now is with stealing money from our wallets and computers. Every hour criminal elements discover new and new variants to pocket our digital money. The newest point is that android wallets mine altcoins http://altcoinhunters.com/2014/04/android-malware-mines-altcoins/

They do take advantage. Once I came across a Jihad funding site (off course accepts only donations in BTC), while browsing the dark net. (I am 99% sure that it was set up by the FBI).

You are MUCH more likely to die in a vehicular accident than terrorism. So stop being scared of your own shadow.

lol... do you really think so? Just check the number of articles which had appeared in Forbes, during the past 2-3 days about Bitcoin. Bitcoin is famous outside this forum too boy. And the popularity is growing day by day.

So what if they do?
They are already using fiat, PayPal, and other electronic forms of payment.
We just to make sure that the media and the anti-bitcoin agenda don't try to fool the general public into thinking that bitcoin is somehow connected to these elements, a la the Silk Road debacle.
