So you are one of those gamblers that the OP has describe. They gamble to escape the trouble and worry in life. I used to gamble with that same reason. But honestly, it doesn't solved my problem but instead just put another burden in my shoulder because of my losing. So I stop and tackle my problem first and never gamble again. Now I just play to have some fun and enjoy. Good thing I was able to quit and not get addicted when I try to escape the problems in my life. Not a good combination, gambling + problems = more problems.

There are also instances where i see some people gamble with the same reason. Some play to forget for sometime or to pass the time. But it is not too advisable to do this. A person who is lonely, angry or broken hearted holds an unpleasant feeling that pushes the person to bent the feelings on the game. Losing control over himself and not caring for the loses gambling could probobly bring may put the person into a difficult situation and cause regret later.

No i never did that in past if i am sad it would mean i will always think about that incident even while gambling and won't be able to control myself and finally will become more sad because i lost the money we should always gamble with a clear mind and should have all the time otherwise we will lose

yeah basically when you are in the bad situation and decide to release all of the bad things through gambling i think it would only make things getting worse. not a good idea at all , it might help you but only temporary . it's just fulfil your lust for a moment. escape yourself from any problem to a better way , gambling aren't really an answer for sure.

that's what i mean lol, just look at another hobby. it might help you to distract from your bad gambling habit. no matter for whatever reason you are gambling in the end it's just give you a crazy day , if you get bored just call your friends , hangout somewhere far away from gambling stuff and enjoy your beautiful life. don't waste it only on gambling.

Maybe yes maybe not, but in fact most of the gambler often gambling in such conditions maybe because gambling can bring entertainment even only for a moment, at least they can get rid of such feelings.

As an occasional gambler, I do gamble most when I'm stressed and bored. Normally, I play once or twice a month in a nearby casino. Since I'm done with my addiction days I only tend to gamble to release my stress and to have fun and enjoy somehow.

I guess gambling while your an in a stage in which you are troubled/bothered, lonely, grief or loss. Would make a negative impact not only to yourself but also to people around you. I'm not saying that it could escalate into something unpleasant but the possibility of doing things beyond one's control is high.

I only gamble when I have enough money that I can afford to lose in case I didn't win and most of those times, are period in which I am happy and what causes me not to have money is those factors identified which means I don't even have to move close to gambling in those periods. I think it's perfectly normal for any of us to find some form of escapism. I guess for the majority, it doesn't get out of hand and serves stress-reducing purposes. Gambling is one of those things I can keep relative tabs on. Especially when I'm stressed, I do lose control every now and then, but at worst, I lose just a bit more than I intended. A follow up deposit when I've lost my initial, for example. But I've just heard to many stories and seen too many cases of ruined lives from gambling debt to go down that path. Unfortunately, I have other vices that I am less able to control...

Gambling can be a great solution when you want to kill your boredom or want to escape from loneliness. But I'm not sure if gambling is the solution when you have a problem, gambling to escape from trouble is the wrong thing because it does not mean you solve the problem, you're just dodging but the problem will always follow.
