Sometimes I do gamble to kill time. I usually visit a nearest land-based casino in our location once-twice a month though sometimes whenever I got out early in the office, I need to wait for my wife to arrive since we are going home together. Normally our shift ends at 6 p.m. but sometimes I attend meetings outside the office and after that, I'm free to go. So most of my meetings start at 2 p.m. and end around 3 or 4, I need two wait for at least 2 hours for my wife and I easily get bored so while waiting for her I do slots or a game of poker until she arrives.

5 years ago i lost my girlfriend , that one person who mattered the most in my life and that i was going to propose to her just a while later .
Drinking , smoking blunts and gambling were my only resort . I spent days and days in my room without even getting out , showering or eating . All what i did was to get high or to gamble . Running dice for hours and hours , or following sport games to gamble on them, it happened to me that i made bets on teams that i never heard speaking about them before , or i didn't even know in which country they play . I lost lots of money and didn't wake up until my i went bankrupt and couldn't even pay my own rent . Only then i stopped and got back into normal life again .
Gambling won't make things better , it will just make it worse .

The best way to deal with any problem is accepting it and doing something to solve that problem. Complete contradiction, if gambling was meant for fun and entertainment then i guess it should have been able to help him forget about his problems then, but because you derive no fun and entertainment that could have helped him with his stress and depression he got worse. Gambling is for the serious ones and not for games so be ready when you venture into gambling else look for an alternative because you will keep loosing with this mentality

Absolutely not, I do think that is a recipe for disaster. I think using things like gambling, drinking etc. To escape from feeling real emotions is an incorrect way of doing things. I think especially when grieving, stay away from gambling. Deal with the pain first no matter how difficult. Then when all that is sorted you can gamble away. I believe that people who have an unhealthy relationship with gambling, it starts in instances like this.

Indeed. Excitement and sometimes greed drives me to gamble. A grieving and lonely person would not gamble but will drink and stay all alone instead while boredom and troubled is possible.

I think you should learn some other activities to spend your time instead of going to gambling every time when you're alone. I gamble only when I get bored and only sometimes not every time I get bored go to gambling. If you continue gambling like that soon or later you may addict to these games and later it will become a big issue for you so try to minimize your gambling activity and pick up other activities more.

In fact, there are so many other activities to kill boredom than gambling. Sure, gambling can be a lot of fun if you see it as fun but no one likes losing and that is the plain truth. Seeing it as fun can only one accept that fact but to try to kill boredom with gambling is like trying to clean your eyes from dirt with pepper. It will be more like adding sadness to one's boredom.

Well, i am not a gamble when i am alone, and also i am not playing gambling when i feel trouble, boredom and grief and any thing more as you explain. No, i play gambling only when i have extra money, and especially i prefer to play gambling when my friends get together with me. It is our fun time to play gambling, because you know gambling mean fun and entertainment, then i follow it.

No, never. I actually need a clear mind to gamble. I play mostly card games, so I need to focus and rethink my moves each time. I never play on emotions and I rarely do it to kill time. When money's on the line I'm always doing my best.
It's possible to play automated games like dice and slots when you're nervous or sad, but if you lose it at such time it could push you deeper into that state.

You're a nice gambler, thinking about a clear mind is what makes you a calm feeling as you play. We should accept the fact that there are some people who find comfort in gambling like they think nobody can understand what they're going through and gambling is only the answer in all of their problems. And some find comfort through drinking liquor and some do stress eating and many more things just to cope up with their problems and it's fine but just don't do stupid things if you're doing your job or when you trade and gamble. When we are still on these kind of state which we are stress,anger and other emotion related things we should not try to do things like trading and usual stuff because we will surely do things which is unusual since we are still out of our mind or not totally in control because of the things we do feel on that time.People do really have different ways on having a relief on their own boredom or frustrations.

Yes I gamble when I feel bored, alone, when I am lonely, and gambling serves as my past time already. I found it effective that is why I keep doing it. But I do not do gambling just to escape my problems, escape worry, and most especially not to escape trouble. When I have problem, my mind is set in how to fix the problem. I cannot focus in any other thing or else for sure I will just lose the game and of course my money too. I want first to solve my problem before I have fun. For me, priority first. If I do not face it now, the next day I have to face it. So there is no way to escape.

Actually gambling without real money can help you relieve stress and you also won't loss anything from your pocket or as many casino offers free money through faucets to try out their games, you can play there with amount claimed from faucet to get rid of boredom or troublesome situation.

I do the same and haven't harmed my bank account but yes playing with real cash to get entertained is not the wise decision.

I agree this kind of people somehow, is addicted to gambling.  They became hooked and always look to play in gambling games.  They are having a hard time fighting the urge to gamble.  It will only give them negative effect so they should start reflecting and thinking how to deal with such behavior and urge to gamble.  It is also best if they can ask  for guidance and how to avoid or control their urge to gamble so much.

Usually i gamble or play online casino when im bored at home and i got nothing to do, playing at an online casino seems to be my hubby now.
Being alone at home when the kids are at school and my wife is of to work, only on my rest day a gamble and not everyday.
