You have hit the nail on the head. The overall purpose behind the Meridian project is to establish an asset that has a specific use case aside from just price speculation alone.

Most of the digital assets that are available today aren't part of an environment that breeds natural price cycles.

By attaching a service to a digital asset - in this case: Bitcoin Loans - the service becomes the main reason for users to become regular holders the asset, which in turn allows a more natural price cycle to form.

So as you said, not only do borrowers stand to benefit from receiving loans... but those who aren't seeking loans are able to draw benefit due to the cycles described above.

I think One key to success is to make it as easy as possible. So i really like your idea because the regular User isn't a tech experienced User. I think One good example is apple and the iPhone. If it will be intuitive and easy to use. It can be a really huge succes! Great to be a Part !

 5000 MDN = 1BTC?! Even with 20% bonus, it's too much imo.

Ok, let's look at it this way.

Week one bonus, is 20%, so 1BTC is 6000 MDN.

If we assume around 12th of October 1BTC is 4500$, than 4500/6000 = 0.75$ per MDN, I guess 75 cents is new 50 cents?

Let's say circulating supply ends up being 75 million, it is risky imo.

I think it's a good idea, but they got greedy, so I have to look elsewhere.

well it all depends on the total amount of coins. I don´t think it´s too much considering the use !

What I like in this project is its simplicity and high effectiveness!
People are after better solution than their traditional loans.. When the procedure could be annoying, the digital/crypto aspect will make it much better for many people.

Thanks! Yes, that's the ideology behind the project. We really want to avoid confusing people with unnecessary layers of technical jargon.

Whilst many people in the digital asset sphere are highly technical and in-tune with software development - we have chosen not to alienate those who aren't entirely savvy when it comes to the technical elements of digital assets.

With this being said, we are well aware of the fact that digital assets have the ability to be used to eliminate several non-necessary processes that average, everyday people conduct on a daily basis.

In the case of Meridian, we are tackling the distribution of Bitcoin loans and the tracking of these loans - handled by the Meridian Blockchain which will be used as the main verfication mechanism.

Adding to the above, we are also deploying a layer of security for all Bitcoin Loans served on our platform: Digital collateral.

Simply, when a user requests a Bitcoin Loan - there will be a requirement for this user to supply a specified amount of Meridian Tokens which will be held as security for his/her loan.

Upon successful repayment, the collateral is released - and the user is rewarded with a boost in CreditRank, which will ultimately provide him with broader access to loans in the future.

Should a user fail to complete their repayments, the collateral is absorbed into the Meridian Reserve - and ultimately released into the market to recover losses.

In the situation described above, a greater amount than was initially lent may be recovered due to value appreciation of Meridian - however the opposite of this can also occur.

So there is still an element of risk for lenders, but through this use of Digital Collateral - risk is drastically reduced, especially when compared to the current group of online P2P Lending services that aren't distributing secured micro loans.

Essentially - we want to provide a reason other than price speculation that will cause regular, every day users of digital assets to become habitual users of MDN Tokens.

We're confident that this will be achieved via creating this strong link between Meridian and our Bitcoin Loans service.
