I think the total number of bitcoin is 21 million not 25 million but yes what he is saying is true. This will happen once there are no longer bitcoins being mined and if the demand for bitcoins rises at that time it would not be impossible for bitcoin to reach that price or probably even higher.

I think the total number of bitcoin is 21 million not 25 million but yes what he is saying is true. This will happen once there are no longer bitcoins being mined and if the demand for bitcoins rises at that time it would not be impossible for bitcoin to reach that price or probably even higher.

Don't forget that a lot of Bitcoins are already lost forever because the owner died or forgot the key/password or the hard drive crashed and there was no backup, etc. So we lose bitcoins every day. That also makes the coins raise in value over time.

250,000 USD is a huge amount, but I do not think the bitcoin price will reach that much. 10 years is indeed a very long time but maybe the increase will only reach 50.000 USD. bitcoin does always have a miracle but rationally it is impossible.

However, now is the time when BTC is actually taken seriously by Big Players. Expect the China Ban to be followed by various other governments. Also don't disregard the Banks, Financial Institutions, International Money Exchangers (e.g. Western Union, etc), Online Money Exchanger (e.g. PayPal, etc) as most of them will lost a major portion (if not all) of their business; as BTC removes the role of middle-man via Blockchain technology.

I believe BTC can evolve from all of the hurdles if it could resolve it's own issues. Three of them are

• BTC transfer should be able to sent only to valid wallet addresses. I might be wrong but it seems if you enter a wrong wallet address (e.g. an ETH wallet), it goes through and ends somewhere in blackhole.
  
• It should improve it's network congestion. There has been transfer delays of days in some cases. Generally, it has been hours in the last couple of months.
  
• It should improve it's network fees. There has been increase in transfer fees which keeps evolving upwards. Meanwhile other currencies have lower cost and lightening transfers.

A good point. I agree. There are factors to be considered and surely will affect and decide the future of Bitcoin.

That is a very optimistic prediction for Bitcoin. However, that price is a bit too much in my perception. Yes, it would be great if Bitcoin reaches that price within just 10 years but it might have be difficult use Bitcoin at that point. Imagine how much will be the value of a satoshi and the value of a "recommended" transaction fee. This is very high. We might not see Bitcoin on the mainstream if the price gets that high, well if the transaction fee will be eliminated then we will see Bitcoin on the mainstream but if the tx fee would be very high for just a simple purchase then the price at that point is not very healthy for Bitcoin itself.

People fall into the trap thinking bullish behavior will go on forever and then you see predictions like 250k$, 1mil$ i even saw a prediction of 1$/satoshi. Bitcoin value will stop growing at some point and this is inevitable. How high it will go depends on too many variables to be able to predict now. It can go skyhigh but it can also fall to sub 1$. Let's hope we will be around in 10 years to see what happens.

Guys so you actually think before saying something? 250.000$ is an enormous amount of money for only 1 bitcoin. There is a 21.000.000 total bitcoin supply that already worth over $84trillions. If bitcoin is going to be 250.000$ the total supply would worth 50 times more wich is an extremely big change for bitcoin. To reach that price it has to develop in every possible country and needs to be known and used by everyone

I believe the potential of bitcoin is large but we have to be realistic, such a rise would mean the immediate downfall of many currencies, especially the US Dollar which in my perception is bound to happen, but in due time. Just give it 1 decaded and bitcoin/blockchain will guide the world.

Well if nothing goes wrong with bitcoins, then yes I think it's possible. The value comes from offer and demand, and they are limited, so if the demand keeps increasing it's value just need to go up. There are also there are plenty of bitcoins that were lost because of miss use by it's owners, that either lost their keys and hard drives etc, because they didn't really believe in them when they were cheap, so their actual limit is even smaller than those 21M.

It absolutely blows my mind that so many people think $250,000 BTC is possible.  That would give it a market cap of over $5 trillion.  To put that into perspective there is only $1.5 trillion in cash U.S. dollars in the entire world.

Yes it is definitely possible it could reach $250,000 in 10 years time. We really don't know what to expect and what will happen with the cryptoworld by that time but I'm pretty sure most people around the world will be using crypt currencies by then.

It may be more than that in 10 year it is the minimum estimate and this may be multiplied two times then the original price will be predicted, as if the rate of increase remain same then this will go beyond 500000 USD and if some dump and bad situations comes then there will be minor change in estimation so hope for the best.
