Indeed you are correct. From my objective point of view, all the supporters of this project are solid speculators hoping the value of the $howl to reach a certain higher price because as an early adopters, this will bring about a huge gain. IMHO, this is the most reasonable grounds that move the community.

But on another note, the speculators in this project somewhat believe in the project itself due to the promising idea. As you may know from the op, a chat app and mobile market place are two huge things nowadays and if the #HOWL devs are truly deliver the products, boy imagine what the value would be.

Based on the above, it is with utmost importance for the devs to at least provide a regular updates on the project development, no matter how small it is. You may find one of my post saying that the slow progress of the dev part is to be expected due to the airdrop thing. But i also believe that the devs should be more active to provide a certain boost of trust to the community supporting this project.

Despite the above, i would give some time until november at least for a solid updates from the dev. Otherwise, i dont see why i need to keep supporting the project. As you are aware, even a bigger project like $adx is having less and less in value due to the lack of updates and i dont see it to not happen in this project either if no regular updates are to be provided.

For the time being, i will keep supporting the project until my personal threshold is met. Once it reaches my deadline and no further updates available, i dont see why i need to keep supporting the project. Though a comeback once it is more settled is an option imho.

trying to compare this project to any other project is futile. as each has their own value ! the deciding factor is= The Dev;  if the project is DAO or not or simply a community or not the people with the controlling factor needs to perform and deliver as expected from the community as with the initial intentions and proclamations of the launch of the project! if in fact the controlling factor is in default and is not able to maintain his presence and offer what was the actual reason for people to buy into it ... then it will only be a question of time before utter and total failure is imminent!the Dev has control of this project and only he can be to blame for its growth or failure!
the community can do anything imaginable on the face of the earth or on the net but if the Dev does not change the deciding factors then there is absolutely no reason  to imagine even a moment of value increase! resulting in BAG holders!

Compare this air dropped coin to other air drop coins that only provide a token. That's the biggest factor as to why supporters of this coin are actually excited. It's not just a coin, but has something that could be of value. An app that you and others around the world can use.

That's a nice lil update from the dev. At least this one is running a sig campaign that might help in exposing the HOWL project to others aside from the airdrop community members. And yes, such updates on the project is truly appreciated so we know that this one is at least progressing and not just relying with the speculations from the individuals here.

Im gonna have to agree with you on this one AmoreJaz... Since this is not a DAO, it depends only on what the developers can bring to the table, the community can speculate all they want but if no further interest is created on the development side then its is juts a token with no usability.

The whole potencial of this token is the promise of the mobile application, im sure you guys know whatsapp is worth $16bn, i believe there is space for others to compete and the free market will choose the one that suits most people...

However i just have one small fact that i would like to mention... Back in the day people were used to understand that development takes time ( just take a look at how long did Ethereum took to launch after their first ANN ) and today everyone is already pressuring project after their innicial ANN... We are talking of a project that was announced 5 weeks ago!

With all of this said, i think its in the developers hands to either deliver the application or engage more the community in the development side of it otherwise i understand that investors seek other projects that give them less risk and still very good rewards...

Wasn't GetGems from the same people as CoinDash? I think it is.

I wouldn't compared this project to GetGems, since GetGems had less to do with an actual product, and more to do with shady people stealing money from people who invested. Scammers.

Not to say that I'm saying that the Dev should use the Telegram APIs.

I bought some Howl from etherdelta, too little market cap and there is some work for it. So it looks like worth it.
