Are the validators like the witnesses in steem ?

Yes that is correct. Validators mint blocks.

And that's the only ones who are able to mine blocks ?

How to join the mine blocks ?

You need to be a validator.

Just to be sure of my understanding : If i want to "mine" the semux coin, i need to be delegate and then validator, right ?

So if i "just" became delegate but not validator, it will be useless to me or the network ?

So to become a delegate, you need to burn 1k and then 0.05 transaction fees. Does anybody know how much each vote would cost ?

Is it just the fee (0.05 per vote) ?

Oh interesting, thank you.
But why would it be done in 5 days ? It's in first place beta test so it takes as long as it takes.
Release in 2018, so I guess there will be at least some more months for testing.

But what do I know

That is correct. The only reason to be a delegate is if you plan to be a validator. Only the validators participate in mining and validating blocks in the network.

Its definitely been asked before, and I'm pretty sure there are a few running it.  Try it and any problems shout out (the discord chat is pretty good for a quick answer usually)?
