Looking for some advice on the best way to update to the latest version.
I tried copying over the database directory and wallet.data file from the old beta.4 folder to the new rc.1 folder but when I run I just get a lot of 'invalid block' errors in the logs.
Apologies if this has been covered already but I've looked back over the thread and can't find an answer.
Hope I don't have to fully re-sync!

Unfortunately for the new version you have to resync. Network was resetted to a new chain going back to block #0.

What you need to do is to download the new wallet and copy only the wallet.data. Whatever balance you had from the beta network will be carried over to the RC network.

Hi sprinkle, you need to do a full resync. It takes less than 10 minutes on my computer.

OK, great. Thanks for all the quick replies. Didn't realise it was a completely new chain.

so many FUD here , if you think this project not fair ,you can pass it ,why balabala say some words which you not like.

People are doing this because they don't get SEM, so we don't have to pay attention to him.

The thing is that we like the project, but we don't like you, fucking scammer.
Ok, let's check balances of Frieda and kelly19:

This will be easy to do because most of your multi accounts go right one by one.
Hacked Bitcointalk accounts, fake Russian twitters if you follow those links.

So where Frieda, who really like and believe in this project. Frieda, who suggests us to stay away if we don't like unfair distribution.
Where Frieda transferred her coins?

https://semux.info/explorer/account/0x2a631015aaa6103a2ae3d708fbec083f48ee3935

Frieda transferred coins to the same address as tens and hundreds of other fake airdrop memebers.
Welcome abcde and lkingss - both have 47,000 SEM for each, almost 100K SEM in total.
Both received them from hundreds of fake airdrop account.

I won't be surprised if this is also crimealone, since they appeared together with him and all of them are trying to support scammers and sabotage this project.

I'm wondering if this scammer really succeed to steal 500K - 1M SEM during Alpha and Beta Sad Sounds very bad..

Excellent post.

Devs you've really got to do something about this..

I don't understand why it is so difficult, simple to remove their coins from network having carried out hardfork, it isn't really similar to equitable distribution.

Yes, the community is getting stronger and stronger, and it won't be long before there are more crypto lovers to join SEM family, and the good things are always irresistible.

It is not a question of it being simple or difficult. It can be done but will not do it simply because it goes against the concept of having a blockchain.

We will focus more on diluting his holdings by making sure that the remaining airdrop will be distributed better and to a greater number of people.

That's all and this will be the last time I will address this issue.

I don't quite understand why the account farmers and scalpers get rewarded instead of punished.

The coins given out were for testing the network, so just declare them test coins and reboot the net. Those who bought and sold them are shit out of luck. I don't see against which principles of a blockchain this goes. Instead the next round is for BTC holders of all people. WTF?  Huh

There are going to be issues in any project. We just have to deal with it as we go along.

Even bitcoin and some of the most successful ICO that have million of dollars at there disposal will have some issues we just have to accept the fact.

You're so right. Although I didn't get a airdrop in the first round, I can keep a good attitude and I keep my eye on the thread. So if the airdrop is need BTC snapshot, so many people lost BTC, means also lost the chance of SEM, so we cannot complain, need better solve the problem to make the community more harmonious.

Will there be another airdrop? Unfortunately I missed the first one? This project looks really promising compared to most of the drops out there.
