I was wondering if someone could give me a little pointer here on how to get going with the lite wallet at  https://semux.online/


I get the following error
I expect that I am doing something silly but I get the followinfg error,

Invalid wallet file format: Unexpected token  in JSON at position 0.

Any help would be great thanks

Go to the Semux discord channel and ask the question there. The dev who wrote the light wallet hangs out on the Discord all the time.

Why only 8 millions from 100m in circulating? Where is the rest 92m coins? They will be airdroped as well or intented for mining?

Founders: 5,000,000 SEM

and the rest is via dPOS mining
Block rewards: 75,000,000 SEM

3 SEM / each block

Community distribution - this mean airdrop? So only 2 mln left for mining? When mining starts? And for how many years mining will be avaliable?

Now looking at the market I am very happy that the price of coins Sem back began to grow. I really believe in the project and the development team and think in the future will be a great success.

There is no mining. 75m are all block rewards for validators. See https://github.com/semuxproject/semux-core/blob/master/docs/Delegates-and-Validators.md for more info.

Check your firewall settings if they are too restrictive on outgoing connections it may stop the wallet from syncing.

The wallet says 72 peers connected but it isn't loading blockchain.

Can anybody help with the wallet syncing issue?

so we need to wait it.

What about exchanges here? There is no volume at all. Just $1 329 USD  for last 24h. Iunderstand that you didn't have ICO and don'thave must money for listing but at lastmiddle exchanges needed for liquidity ...

VM implementation is planned for Q4 and devs are on track. They gave a hint that liqui.io listing is possible but they decided to postpone it because VM will require a hardfork. So there will be hardfork and it's logical to list on new exchanges after that 

Volume right now is very small, not much sellers. IMO ppl who dump SEM at such low price are fools (before vm/exchange and possible new bull run).

I think Semux is a underdog compared to waves/eos/stratis
the eco system of semux is quite small, it is very experimental (which crypto is not..., though)

it needs some time, but devs are doing a good job! Look at the github repo, there are many commits!

EOS is currently experiencing great difficulties. Of the competitors is much more promising TRON (TRX).

There are lots of projects that have only testnet and/or promises of the great future/1m tps etc... Semux greatest advantage is that it's live and working and decentralized... Community is not huge but lots of supporters have faith in project
