We have launched Testnet-2. https://twitter.com/semuxproject/status/1146450050530402304 Testnet validators are now signalling for fork with VM activation and soon everyone will be able to create smart contracts. The release v1.5.0-rc1 is for testnet only, avoid of using it in mainnet.

Who needs smart contracts on ill-fated russian platform? It's 2019 not 2017. Are you gonna sell this shit to public?

Can you please enlighten me. Blockfolio shows me that SEMUX is listed on Bisq but I can't find any pair with SEM there. What's wrong?

What's new for Semux happened lately? What is the positive news?
Semux has been listed in a new exchange. Devs are working on virtual machine and light wallets. Facebook announced $LIBRA based on the same technology as Semux. SEM has a very bright future And what exchanges we can see in near future? For more than 2 year they have not listed SEM to any decent exchange. I disappointed in this project already, as without exchanges and good marketing they will stay at the same place as they are now.

Why should be SEMUX listed on popular platforms now, when it‘s not realised his main character? It‘s like to put completely new electric autonomous unique car generation of Bugatti for sale, without the planed feature which is important and need time to be realised. Sometimes you need to go with time to fit in the market. In this case. Be patient. In Semux we trust. By the way, it seems like really, that Libra stolen the technology of SEMUX, that will be really an exciting moment. We wait for the code publicity. But there are few moments points to this fact. Will later write

Nope. You're wrong. As for the Semux the cap of the project and the price per coin still overpriced tenfold. Wait for 100 sats/sem. This is the real price for the shit.

Will later write Libra did not steal anything from semux. They are similar in that they use smart contracts, dpos, and short block time with 100 validator, in order to get high tps, but rest all diff. Besides it’s open source license, code given freely for reuse. One written in rust, other java. Zuckbucks are their own thing...

I think that Libra will actually bring a lot of new money to crypto, so this is a win-win also for Semux. Also it's good that both are BFT with 100 validators, another proof of solid Semux fundamentals. I don't see Libra and SEM as competitors, they have different markets and purposes. Really bullish on both

Really bullish on both But libra is a stable coin, as soon you sell your $, the mechanism burn the coins from the network. So for the coin there is only one value and it can not be bullish. Unlike the project itself will run bullish in my point of view and help the cryptospace.

LibraBFT uses HotStuff as the base for their consensus. HotStuff is a consensus in the same family as Tendermint and PBFT, but different on SemuxBFT: 1. It is chained -- meaning that k view changes take k+2 rounds of communication, instead of 2k. 2. It is responsive -- responsiveness means that once the network is synchronous, the protocol finishes in time that depends on the network latency, not on timeouts in the protocol. It is not the case in SemuxBFT, in which one always waits for the precommit timeout before moving to next view.

So, since Libra development is halted by the US officials, pretty amazing news for Semux seeing as its decentralized and built on similiar tech
