I don't understand this partnership with MakerDAO, DAI tokens weren't already implemented in swarm.fund? Or it's my broken memory joking with me  ? However it's a nice addition but ether, swm etc...were already converted to SUN anyway |

However it's a nice addition but ether, swm etc...were already converted to SUN anyway You are right, they were already implemented as a way to enable investing in Funds with DAI. However, this partnership is a more formal arrangement, and also adds a second functionality. This will allow investors to lock in the price of the crypto they invest on Swarm, with Bitcoin or Ethereum converted to Dai, locking in the price at the time of commitment to an investment, or automatically based on ceiling and floor prices set by the individual investor. What this means is that where the current model of crypto funds invested in the various Investment Opportunities are only pegged once the fund closes, the DAI stablecoins will be treated in the same way as fiat. Their value will not fluctuate in the way that ETH and BTC and others do. |
