Why should we use Bitcoin in daily purchases?

The idea is good but the transaction fee may be higher than the product you will buy. It needs to deal with the transaction fees first before making it a payment for daily purchases. There must be a time bitcoin could make transaction fee free.

This is just about the time when bitcoin transactions would be faster. When we say bitcoin transaction means we talk about the confirmations. Don't forget when you send the bitcoin through your wallet to another one it is already in your another wallet almost instantly and you can see the amount there. It's just that is confirmation is pending from the network and nothing much.

It is most secure than fiat currency and can not be stolen from your 2FA security protocol unless and until you make mistake. Now nobody is that much fool to do a mistake in the transactions of money which should be your own responsibility to take care of. Hope you will change your views after reading this.

In the current state of matters, I wouldn't use my bitcoins to buy a cup of coffee at Starbucks. The cost of transaction is greater than the actual good that I want to buy, so a big nope to that. Apart from that, there's not much who accepts bitcoin in their services, so I guess I'll just stick to my credit/debit cards and cash for buying everyday things.

Actually the transaction speed is somehow in a better condition, I think the biggest problem of bitcoin for daily purposes is the transaction fee, if you're that rich its no problem but for small payments it is a total pain. If they would fix the transaction fee then it can easily be adopt and be used for daily purchase.

And the fees of transactions in Bitcoin not cheap, it very expensive = ~1.5% total our money or default fees for create block (if your block is small). So, I think use Bitcoin in daily purchases is bad choice, you should use other payment method for avoid waste your Bitcoin.

All of us have common sense so I think it depends on our decision when to use bitcoin as payment.  If you are buying a 1 cent candy, of course you won't use bitcoin, pay with cent unless your order is bulk.  I believe bitcoin transaction fee is still cheaper with regards of higher transactions.  I tried it and see a huge difference especially when we are using a third party payment processor, direct Bitcoin payment is still the cheapest.

It's not slow at all. It's almost immediate. And for merchants most other forms of payment are real slow because they can be changed back anytime even after weeks.

Most merchants will give you refunds if there is an error.

Obviously you missed the most important reason on why we shouldn't use bitcoin in daily purchases and that is the variant changes in it's value like if you bought something worth 1 bitcoin 2 months ago you could've bought it for 0.5 bitcoin today and that my friend is a huge waste.
And whenever i think i'm going to spend some bitcoins on something i remember the guy that bought the pizza with 10.000 bitcoins and try to not make the same mistake.

Slow transactions is currently an issue because we are in between implementations to address the scaling issues.

Once all services has implemented SegWit and the Lightning network is active, we will see remarkable improvements in

confirmation times. SegWit also made spam attacks more expensive, so this will also have a impact.

Nobody wants to wait several minutes to buy a cup of coffee.  Even when I pay for my hosting on a monthly basis with bitcoins, I have to wait sometimes 15 minutes, and it has to rest the checkout process which causes me problems and having to contact their support just to try and get my invoice marked as paid.

It’s a turtle compared to most of the other coins, why should we choose Bitcoin? We actually need real time payments (as we already have them in real life)

If I make mistakes in sending bitcoin (and people make mistakes all the time) I won’t never get reimbursed in any way…it’s not the same with FIAT.
If someone clones my credit card I have some chances to get my money back…what about bitcoin?!

At the moment, it’s impossible that Bitcoin or other cryptos are going to replace FIAT money in every day’s use.

Moreover, some more modern currencies have a better technology.
If we really will use cryptocurrencies in daily life, why should Bitcoin be the best coin to use?

This is the key question, because if we won’t use it, Bitcoin will be worth 0 and not 100.000$ as someone says.

I don't think these are the problems .
Here we are much safe with bitcoin than with fiat because a single reason is not a big factor to make a particular thing back .
And i don't think bitcoin transaction are slower because when once we transfer the bitcoin then you can see in online directly but in the fiat we can't see things like this ( confirmation are ways to make money for the miners , so it is a important part of this thing ) .
And second thing you are saying that you can save your money in case of clone case , but why you are not thinking that suppose you made transaction and completed your deal but after the all deal complete the opposite person reverse the transaction then what you will do??
Ofcourse you will say bitcoin transaction are not bettet because reversible .
Here you can see that how many people are using PayPal for the international transactions  , very few no. Of people are using because it is reversible .
So it is a better thing for us that bitcoin transaction are irreversible

I think bitcoin is good currency to be replaced in fiat type of currency and to be used in the real life. There are so many services out there which are now offering instant spending of bitcoin in the real life which comes from the altcoins. Not to forget every altcoins is traded against bitcoin so practically making bitcoin spendable over the blockchain.


It is already fast and the confirmations will become more easier soon when the blockchain advancement happens. I like the idea of confirmation because it makes sure that we received the money securely and nothing is lost in between the peer to peer operation. I think whatever you think is because you don't understand how the bitcoin transaction works. It's fast and secure in short.

I have read that when people continue to purchase bitcoin, bitcoins will worth more and because the number of bitcoins are limited only. So the give and take process will make the price go higher.

We should use it in a case to case basis, because we all know that bitcoin is not accepted in all transaction in terms of purchases, but we should use it where bitcoin accepted for us to hassle free. And when it is accepted also in restaurant or paying gasoline station our life become easy in terms of bitcoin.

I think you don't really get the purpose of how bitcoin works. And one should use Bitcoin in our daily purchases maybe in the future but as of now and especially you libe in the third world country, it'll be difficult to suffice your needs by using bitcoin in your daily needs. Not all restaurants or any grocery store accepts bitcoin yet.

Not only in just third world countries but even in many developed countries bitcoins can't use directly buying something from either shops or online. Only some items you can buy as of now, and it will take a lot of time that to happen. Currently, most of the people invested in bitcoins as an investment to grow their money not invested in using it for daily needs. If that happens then, Bitcoin demand will increase, and its prices also will rise.

No reimbursements kinda scares off consumers too. Though merchants will find this beneficial for their services, consumers are vulnerable on being frauded by these merchants due to bitcoin's nature. If they want to have a privilege on returning defective items, they would need to sign something to enable them have that privilege which sucks, too.

How can you say that bitcoin is a slower process of paying payment , here everything is faster and also it can get much faster if you can pay high fee .
If you are thinking that paying high fee is a better way to make the transaction faster is also a bug in the bitcoin then here i would like to tell you that it is a positive factor in the bitcoin because one person can't support the bitcoin system , so they needed another network of the people to support the network of the transaction and they get paid to support the bitcoin network through the fee system .
And also the second thing that you told that transaction in the bitcoin is irreversible is bad option for us , but here you should know that it is not bad thing because if someone give you some money and after that he just reversed than what you will do , only cry :/
So instead to take much thinking about the negative factor , use the bitcoin is better way with positive factors so that you can use it better .
And also in the bitcoin your money is your until you will use , so total control over your money you will have  and also no one can touch your transaction because it has securities like millitary  .

You could be right but you are looking at the small disadvantage and ignoring the huge benefit that bitcoin is providing us. In the past people were using the free transaction and they waited for the months and the days but now the transaction is not taking that much time so we should use bitcoin every day so that we will be use to with it and then it will not be a big deal to wait for the transaction but at least we will have bitcoin and the good future with bitcoin.
