It could. Realizing that ETH is second to bitcoin. It could go the same path just like bitcoin. And maybe much  it could go higher that bitcoin. We cant just cant turn the book close. Many stories will be told.

There's far less hype around ETH than around Bitcoin, at least when it comes to the mainstream media. So I don't see Ethereum overtaking Bitcoin at any point. Not to mention that Bitcoin has a massive headstart.

Right at this moment we're too far to reach $1000 for we only have little time left with less than a month only. Give it atleast the third quarter of 2018. I know that Eth has a very huge potential in the market and It would be one of the most valuable blockchain in the near future because it is the first to allow for the creation of a decentralized smart contracts solution. With Bitcoins continued growth today it will be a big factor for the increase of altcoins value as well, and one of the biggest benefactor is the Eth, and if more businesses will develop Eth-based solutions it will help Eth to hit the $1000 target mark next year.

Ethereum will not reach $1,000 within the year 2017. It is now impossible for Ethereum to reach that. When the price of Ethereum surged until $500 in November, I was thinking that after reaching the peak there will be a definite retracement of its price. And when Ethereum will bounce back once again, it will surpass $500 and then go as far beyond. However, it will not double up to $1,000. $1,000 is very high for Ethereum to reach within the year.

ETH has a great potential...probably higher than bitcoin, however it wont grow at same rate even if it's better. We know how it works: McDonalds doesnt sell best hamburgers but it's the best seller.

It's impossible to reach for that figures since I never see any good adoption happenings nor any good news of adoption with ETH. But maybe we can see it on more years to come.

I do not follow ETH that closely but I do not see why we could get such a high growth that fast, the ico mania seems to be subsidizing and if that is the case then ETH growth is going to be a lot slower since the growth in this year was mostly fueled by icos.

BCash has a supply of only ~17m coins, while Ethereum has ~100m... you can't compare prices like that.

Yes, I agree with you. The price of Ethereum will not rise that easily at the end of the year. You see the price of Ethereum now, it has not reached half. The development of Ethereum prices is very different from Bitcoin which always increases in a matter of days. But very desperate first, the price of Ethereum will still increase as much as $ 1000 sometime in the future, but not in the near future. Maybe in the future the price of Ethereum will be more than that. Remember, it's December, so be patient. It is difficult to predict a currency, let alone cryptocurrency.

Yes it will, coz Vitalik said in the statement that they will change the proof of work to a new one which is proof of stake so It won't consume more electricty.

Do you know when it will change to POS? If that happens, it will go past bitcoin price. BTC is supported by governments such as Japan and South Korea, and Ethereum is supported by corporations such as Microsoft.
