ethereum is strugelling very hard to keep the current price up. and it is barely doing just that hardly above $300
the Chinese ICO ban was a big hit and we will see the real effects in the long term specially as ICO hype is slowly dying off and only a couple of ICOs that are good will remain.

on top of it many speculators believe that changing to PoS will hurt ETH a lot more than anything else in the long run.

more than 3x rise is simple impossible for this. not even their pumpers can do it.

Ethereum has very strong competitors. For example, the same coin SEM NEM Wave EOS and others, all they are really promising. Therefore, Ethereum has not so many chances for high growth.

well looks like it's gonna impossible number now. i think the real number is half of it, it's $500. theres still hope for ethereum to hit $500 in the end of the year. i hope i'm not choosing wrong coins to ride in the next bullrun

So, let's see the happenings this January next year, would it reach the $1000 level or exceed the record it has made.

How would this happen, you make a one liner, ad least come with some reason why you think ethereum will do a 5x from 190 dollars to above 1.000 in the next 4 months.
I think it's more likely to see ethereum getting to 100 dollars than 1.000 this year.
Ethereum are a nice coin, but the network have its issue, they will be fixed, but I think we will see an even bigger crash before we will see any chances to the minings rewards and network speed.

Ethereum miners makes more than 20.000 new ethereum eash day, and they have them on stock hopping for a much higer price, if they also start to sell at this level we will see a 50 dollars  Eth very soon.

$1000? Sounds like 'unreality' to me. I really am a big fan of the ethereum coin and the ethereum network as a whole, but then, I am not seeing the possibility of eth getting to $1000 this year, but then, who knows; anything can still happen before December.
