It may sound cliché , but I think the greatest life lesson I learned was that I shouldn't think too much about what other people will think. I learned this by observing my cousin who was a few years older than me. He did things he enjoyed doing and didn't worry about being judged about it. I was really insecure when I was younger and avoided trying things that interested me just because I didn't think it would be "cool". I realize now that I may have missed out on a lot of fun just because I wanted to fit in with my peers.
