Just curious.  Are there any women on this forum?

Are female anarcho-capitalist geeks that scarce?
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

There is actually a sex ratio available on the forum member stats  (remember you're asked about your sex during registration).

I think it's currently 3.5:1, which imo probably under evaluated.

Women are too busy shopping and grooming, to be interested in stuffs like cryptography, monetary systems, economics or politics.

I assume this is a sarcastic allusion to sexist prejudices, right? If it is, sorry for asking confirmation of the obvious. If not... no comment.

I don't think she's an anarchist, though.

Just curious.  Are there any women on this forum?

Not long ago someone posted that they had sent some BTC to their girlfriend's computer, but her computer hadn't finished downloading the block chain yet. She may be the first female user of Bitcoin.

To conclude with your sexual stereotyping ...  Women love things that have no "intrinsic value" and a high "generating difficulty" (jewellery, diamonds, flowers, wedding ceremonies, Harvard MBAs, etc.)

So they must be crazy about Bitcoins.

Right?  Wink

The first female user of Bitcoin may be Jutta, the founder of halfbakery.com

She posted a link to Bitcoin as early as Oct 13 2009.

But we also know men are too busy drinking beer, watching football, porn, and fighting each other to be interested in stuffs like cryptography, monetary systems, economics or politics Smiley

Well, what other explanation do you have to the 3.5:1 sex ratio on this forum ?

PS.  I've just checked :  the sex ratio is actually 5:1 !

wow this forum is so sexist...... But....

But think.  If we all start giving our wives / girlfriends / mothers bitcoins instead of dollars,  all the shops will start bending over backwards to accept them!

So: "Send out your women, with bitcoins!"

One off NP-Hard.
