DDOS attack by anonymous on paypal, mastercard, visa .etc

Hey,

Lot's of people from 4chan using the tool Loic with the channel thealps.anonops-irc.com #loic or the command 'sudo hping3 api.paypal.com -p 443 -S -i u3000 -q' have managed to take down all these sites!

This is illegal and wrong. I understand people have different views on Wikileaks but taking illegal action is not the correct path. Better to voice yourself through the correct legal channels and signing petitions.

Why dont paypal,mastercard and visa publicly accept that they are directly owned by government ?

On what reason can they give to refuse payment to wikileaks ?

Obviously they dont want to get in trouble due to ferocity with  govts motive to hunt down wikileaks as their misdeed is exposed infront of their own public ..

Signing petitions doesn't achieve shit.

Most effictive thing to do is to stop doing business with Visa and Mastercard.

As for DDoS being wrong, I disagree. People are simply exploiting an inherent weakness of internet protocol, namely that you can send packets for free, creating a tragedy of the commons situation.  Same thing for spam. The more often this happens, there more motivation there will be to fix the internet. Bitcoin could even play a role in this.
