I don't believe an expert will be the right term to use in gambling. Rather I would say experienced gambler can be spotted very frequently.
I am not a experienced gambler, I just gamble in casino, poker and sports based gambling, so I have small amount of knowledge but definitely not a experienced one and not even near to be an expert.

I will only consider someone as an expert when they have an ability to keep their bankroll in profit.
And mostly it is happened in sportsbetting or poker as both believed as the profitable and reliable games.
We also frequently see a professional poker player that recognized widely in the world , no doubt they are the real expert.

For me, not only having profit is the factor to consider for being an expert. Because some veterans or famous gamblers experience bad luck and lose multiple times. If that is the basis, i think there is no expert gambler to be consider. IMO, having a self control and limit the loses is the real way to determine an expert gambler.

Having a loss cant really be avoided and yes even those expert or veterans on gambling field do really have still unlucky days which they do still lose huge sums of money in-spite of being a veteran.
I agree on what you say that the thing which makes a gambler being expert is on the way he control himself on playing gambling and not getting addicted into it.

I think that there can really be no true gambling expert as it involveds a lot of luck but also some skill to be sure. But it all boold sown to experience and we can have countless tries at a game and get so experienced with it that we can have pur own ways with it.

Exactly , I prefer to remain and be called a gambler than being tagged an expert because you need some level of luck and perfection to be called a gambling expert. I have gambled for more than two years and I still keep learning from each beg I play everyday and so the learning curve isn't that short for one to simply come to the end of all gambling knowledge to be called a gambling expert.

I have friend who frequently do poker games with his bitcoins. He is really good in playing any type of card games. I would say he is expert in part of gambling with bitcoin. If we play dice or other casino games, none of the people will be consider a luck chap. Simply they will lose the all money in that.

Then you can call your friend, he is expert in poker. Definitely he is in profit, if he really expert and use his skills in poker. Because in these games, like poker and sports betting, if we really expert in it then no doubt we are always in profit. I also seen my cousin who always play poker and sports and usually he always win. Profit day by day continously? Then its really possible but only on some games like poker or other card games and sports bettings.There are really experts on this field on which they do end up on having a profit in the end of the day they might lost some funds but they end up on having profits on a certain day.Those things are amazing which i do see on my own eyes that this is possible and i can called them as an expert.

I'm just pleased to sometimes win and feel like a winner, that I get a little bit of a win, but I do not feel like an expert. I think that in gambling you can not be an expert because everything depends on luck.

exactly we cant say when to be lucky so even there's a lots of times that you will be able to win you cant still say that you already an expert

Winning games is not expertness i agree with you that if someone wins for game and continue wining in a row then that’s not mean he is expert. Yes experience must come from the games, the practice you do in field but still that only affect you little. Not make you expert, neither anything could.

I’m an expert, of course, at losing lol, but seriously it depends on what you mean by an expert, I know the games that I like and their rules but as you may imagine that does not mean that I have won some money, like most gamblers I am a long term loser.

A gambling expert is completely the opposite of what you are suggesting here. An expert knows the maths behind gambling.

If you get too excited and think you are an expert after a big win at the poker table, what you are is the fish at the table. Or at least one of them. When it comes to casino-based games what you are is another long-term loser.

Most mistakes gamblers make come from not understanding the Expected Value concept.

I consider myself good in enough in sport betting maybe not an expert but surely I got a lot of wins in soccer , hockey, basketball, tennis and even Formula1. I have been gambling since 2003 so I have quite some years of experience in sport betting. you are so lucky mate that's a huge amount and good for you that you didn't feel that way, the reason for most addicted to gambling to be engaged

I stay in a country where gambling is banned. So from my childhood I have never being into this and surprisingly I was not even much aware gambling, casinos till I was 18. Even if I win in gambling I don't think that I am already an expert because most of the time I play and I bet more on luck and not more on strategies and knowledge. I always think that I am just lucky that's why I  won in a game.

Yeah ,because being a gambling expert doesn't depends only just because of winning maybe its luck but more particularly a gambling expert is more on stratedgy and well oriented with their skills to win in a games.

I can make sure you , somebody who tell you that he/she is an expert as gambling that one 80% is a scumbag or scammer. It's right to say that gambling need stragedy, smart, skill but underdogs team can still win cause some unpredictable things are happen. No experts or anyone else can predict it will happen. Sometimes you can win with your lucky even without skill, smart and stragedy.

Haha yes this is very true. I'm not an expert either but on how to identify people if they are saying the truth about themselves can easily be tracked down.

I noticed that most of the gamblers that are humble and says that it's just about luck when they win are the true gambling experts.

But for those who says they are gambling experts, who knows if they are real? Also there are some gamblers who are truly experts technically.

We can trust only those who will provide the proof for making money in gambling. This most of the people will not provide so we just listen to their stories. But you are right there are some experts in gambling they can make a profit every day, and they will come in front of everyone and also they won't share any strategies because it is a loss for them. To identify who is expert and who is not is difficult.

I have never ever seen such gamblers who are able to make profits every day, especially when they are playing dice, slots or roulette but if we are considering poker here, it won't surprise me if someone claims to be an expert in this game. I agree with you mate. No matter how expert you are but if you're playing a luck based games then the probability of winning is very slim. Even in sports betting or poker games it's not guaranteed a 100% win for you even if you're an expert. For me it's all about luck.  So that's why I never gambled consistently.

I am inclined to agree with both of you. Gambling is basically a pure luck. No matter what game you are playing, it needs a little support of luck for sure. For instance, poker is considered to be a skill based game but if someone has all bad cards in his hand; his expertise won't be of any use.

There doesn't seem to be an expert in gambling or related to making money. gambling is only risking money to earn money. If we win then our money increases and vice versa. Gambling just about how much profit we achieve. No expert in gambling, that's me.
