Hi all, I found that there is a fallacy in recent version's of Parity in handling small block gas limit when mining. So please temporarily downgrade your Parity client version to v1.4.4 ( https://github.com/paritytech/parity/releases/tag/v1.4.4) or lower. You can do this by uninstalling your existing Parity version and then reinstalling v1.4.4. All client versions should function without any problem on Ellaism. However, by temporarily downgrading to v1.4.4 or lower when mining, the network will stabilize faster and you can start to send transactions sooner. problem =( v1.4.4 -32010] Transaction cost exceeds current gas limit. Limit: 5057, got: 940000. Try decreasing supplied gas.

Started Parity "parity --author (my address) --chain ellaism.json". Starting Ethminer-CUDA 0.9.41 "ethminer -U -F 127.0.0.1:8545". It doesn't even create DAG, showing me this: . What am I doing wrong? win+r cmd cd C:\Program Files\Parity\Parity> parity account new #creat new wallet parity.exe --author NEW_YOUR_WALLET --chain ellaism.json --stratum --stratum-interface=0.0.0.0 --stratum-port=4200 1-3 min wait for sync and lets go to mine ethminer -G -F 127.0.0.1:8545 donate Ellaism 0x6CD0BAE1098C82b26BDC1289e445A81804BBF74B

If you have a long-running Parity client on a server, you can help to improve the network topology by adding yours as a bootnode. https://github.com/ellaism/volunteer/issues/1To do this, you will need to find out your enode URI. This will be displayed when you start your Parity client, and it is in the format of "enode://816bff950121884a5de03332d6a1dd67d89c9a99fa85338148b47f33378b1093e532ab5e63bafe156c568d270fe43c30d62c690481799c62414ac996d5908755@108.61.198.224:30303".

However, as said in the Github issue, you'll need to get a public IPv4 address before they can act as bootnodes. Usually this can be done by changing NAT settings in your router. After that, you should get an IPv4 address in the above enode URI that is not loopback address (127.0.0.1) or in the private IPv4 address space ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Private_network).

I added yet another two new bootnodes in the Parity config. That may reduce the stress a little bit. In essence, we need more peers to improve the network topology. Any pools or exchanges?
Unfortunately, no.

Block gas limit is now raised to a reasonable level. Sending transactions should work now.
Now you can switch back from v1.4.4 to a recent version of Parity.
