I think it is worth to invest in both. But there are huge differences between these two investments.
If you look at the charts, you can see Bitcoin has much more volatility, its price fluctuations are more violent and it is able to gain and lose 20% in a single day. Instead Ethereum's grow seems more gradual but steady.

This is nonsense. Ethereum and any other coin also fluctuate extremely strong. That's the actual nature of all these coins. And for many of them this will never change. It's just so easy to manipulate this very new and small market in terms of low liquidity compared to traditional markets. Furthermore Bitcoin and Ethereum are two different beasts. However Bitcoin is the one the whole space is pegged to. It's the crypto reserve currency. And that very much likely won't change in the future. Why you may ask. Well network effect! Even Roger Ver admitted recenty (rage quit interview with BitcoinErrorLog) that it's almost impossible to overcome Bitcoin's network effect. Ethereum however already sees extremely strong competition in terms of as a platform for dapps and smart contract functionalities. So imo do long term investment in BTC and short term for Eth and other top 10-20 coins regarding coinmarketcap, as the alts tend to rise and fall dramatically in terms of market capitalization. The next 12-24 months I believe there will be lots of new money coming in. Corporations and bigger investors will go for BTC and the top tier altcoins while the average joe with some money will go for the rest of the coins cause they are much cheaper. Expect some pump up to a overall marketcap of $1-$1.5trillion in the next 12-24months for the whole crypto space.

Both are safe to to invest with because they're the top 2 coins right now. But I prefer investing in bitcoin than ether, always pick #1.

You don't have to worry of where to invest in between this two good coins. Because right now it is good to buy Ethereum due to is cheap so far, while in bitcoin was also good tot buy in though its expensive literally right, but still look at the brighter future of bitcoin then hold.

Actually, both coins are good for long term investment. They both have potential and its value constantly grows. However, If i only get to choose one, i'd go for bitcoin. Between the two, bitcoin had somehow established itself and has a higher rate of gaining profit.
I like both but when it comes to choose a single coin there is not a reason for settling for second best, bitcoin is the coin to hold, if you were to ask a survey to people around the world to name a cryptocurrency the coin that most people will know will be bitcoin only a minority know about a coin other than bitcoin so that tell to us where the money is going to flow when people begin to invest more money in crypto.

It depends on your investment objectives and risk tolerance. If you are looking to just buy and hold one cryptocurrency, it should be Ethereum. I must warn you than holding Ethereum is not for the faint of heart. If you are the type to panic sell when you see your investments down 20–50% then it’s not for you. If you are going to quickly take profits, then it is also probably not for you. If you are looking to invest long-term and hold for at least a couple years then Ethereum could be one of the best investments you ever make.

Bitcoin is better, but ETH is the most used coin for project development. I'm sure both are reliable coins if you want a cheap transaction then ETH is the winner. Both of them I hold it.

I think BTC is overvalued now, I'm selling my Bitcoin and switch to Ethereum and fiat money. When BTC prices fall I will buy again. Long term trading means sell at big highs and buy at big lows for me. I don't wait 3 years and miss all the ups and downs.

If you're a day time trader choose altcoins however nowadays i believe today altcns losin worth but i don't think so simply because korea will start the biggest exchange that'll be partnering with bittrex UPbit.gio
do you have any information about this mate? I think we need to split between eth and btc, both are for long term investment it can bring a huge gain maybe after 2-3 years and imagine how big those investment will be worth after that years. just keep looking forward and think positively.

Bitcoin will reach the moon so there is no doubt that if someone invests in Bitcoin then that person will have huge profits and on the other hand the Ethereum is also reaching highest peaks and one day it will reach great heights. Those who do not have much money to invest in Bitcoin(Because Less Investment in Bitcoin is not much profitable) should invest their money into Ethereum and should hold them for at least 3-4 years in order to get good profits. If you have good amount to invest then buy 50% Bitcoin and 50% Ethereum.

BTC only. It's father. For long-term to 3-4 years Ethereum not good decision as I think. BTC price can correct but it's basis and many news for development. Eth not for long.

i prefer Ethereum for long term. because Bitcoin is too risky to invest for now. but you can use Bitcoin in short term investment
Having both Ethereum and another coin (Bitcoin), the opportunity that it gives will allow the investor to make money on both investments because the price is going up.

I think it's better for bitcoin because bitcoin prices keep rising and may continue to rise without decreasing again, but etherum is also good for investment because the price is always stable, because with stable prices investment will be safer and profit is also stable ..

Haha, I think they were attracted by the value of Bitcoin. If they know the growth percent of Ethereum or other cryptocurrencies from last year (as Ripple, Monero, Stellar, Digibyte ...), they will need to consider before buy Bitcoin at high price as now or buy altcoin at cheap price.

For selling Bitcoin at a high price you first need to have it in your pocket and that means you need to buy Bitcoin for some value And it must be lower than the one you will sell it out in. same stands good for Ethereum, It is wise to buy any digital asset at low price but if a person is not going to sellout that asset, what is the use of having it? It will just become a decoration piece in his wallet and that is not what Ethereum or any other crypto coin was created for.
