He is saying space is empty state of nothing so it does not exist.

He is not saying aliens do not exist on other planets in the universe.

Considering that space is unlimited there is no chance the Earth is only habitat planet. Maybe in some other form, and for sure not like the ones we watch in the movies, but aliens surely do exist.
