Hey, crypto-people.

Recetly I've read on coindesk.com that another Another ICO Conference has been cancelled in Shanghai, which China Ban caused.

A conference expected to focus on token sales has been cancelled following news that regulators in China have formally outlawed the use case.

Organizers of the forthcoming Token Economy Summit, to be held in Shanghai later this week, confirmed to CoinDesk they will no longer be hosting the event. The summit, scheduled as a one-day session on September 17, was being organized by local cryptocurrency hedge fund and trading group Fintech Blockchain Group.

In statements, a representative for the conference cited the change in policy as reason for the cancellation, calling the event "too risky" in the current climate.

The news follows a September 2 report that the 2017 DACA International Blockchain Summit, organized by local interest group Decentralized Autonomous Coalition Asia, had been cancelled for similar concerns.

Styled after the New York-based Token Summit event, held this May, Token Economy Summit was said to be expecting more than 1,000 international and local guests for panels and workshops on initial coin offerings.

Ok, is it possible that EU will apply the same regulations within its area ?

I think any country that realises shed loads of cash leaving the country unregulated will soon try to stop it and bring in regulation.

I just read about Canada and they are allowing the first regulated ICO.

Yes europe could be next.

Any country having their citizens using bitcoin so much will think to regulate ico's or ban them in extreme steps to control circulating money.
I think maybe Europe, Russia, north America and some Asian countries are the next.

Yes, I think more and more counties will join in to ban the crazy ICO since the ICO is too easy to raise a lot of money, and of course it is a very high risk investment, but I think these counties will keep supporting the block chain development.

just heard that Singapore too has stated that they will soon announce a regulation regarding to these ICOs, well, our cryptocurrency will eventually face that so there's no point of fearing about it.
ICO will be more regulated, also means good for the existence of ICO because the regulation will attract more citizens, its oficially regulated

I do agree, it needs regulations from any side, which could help avoid scam.

As for me if the organisators cancel the conference it's definitely not because of the new ICO regulations, or are they scary that much indeed ? By the way, what do you think, isn't it just a "time-out" decision by Chinese government? This time they might use to re-consider the way country lives peacefully and profitably with ICO and cryptocurrency together?

And yes, it's just not clever just to ban something forever, which is difficult to control. It may cause extantion of the manipulations in the dark nets, which will make living even more difficult/dangerous. It's like with children, they need to have  borders to secure their life " from "dark forces".
It makes sense to cooperate instead of ban.

as far as i know, South Korea had regulated ico after China, and more countries will do this too, ico will make a bad influence on the finance with no regulation, and most projects are scams indeed, so regulation is necessary

That's the fact Smiley
That's what I found: The EU Has Now Invested Over €5 Million in Blockchain Startups .
Last month, the European Commission (the EU's executive arm) said that it was planning to create a "Blockchains for Social Good" competition that would operate in conjunction with Horizon 2020. Researchers in Europe have also looked to the program to fund cryptocurrency-related projects.

This is a bit of bad news for bitcoin, and wherever there is lots of money moving around because of cryptos, they will ban it. It's better countries find a solution and regulate it, bitcoin bitcoin is something with a lot of potential, and could make the world richer and give new opportunities.
I guess many countries will try to launch their blockchain's, or regulate in some manner, so that there is no problem about the BTC circulating.

There is nothing to be afraid of. ICO needs to be regulated and regulations will protect our money in the long term. Projects collecting million dollars without any regulation can't be good for investors but it seems people have to lose money to become wiser.

could be like that because each country wants to provide the best change for the community therefore the existence of banning in shanghai will be discussed first.what about strategy that must be made to still provide benefits for the community because currently bitcoin start in the interest of many people?

They don't really seem to stick to their bans and when they make a decision on crypto it's usually vague and can be interpreted so many different ways.

Agree with that so we must be aware they will find a way to ban it any countries can do it but for now i think there will never be next but as a time pass by there will be next to china. Be aware and ready for it.

You have to look at the situation in China where a lot of scams take place, since there are a lot of people with money to splash around. This wasn't so much about Bitcoin, crypto or even ICOs. It was the government stepping in to heed the complaints from a lot of people. So if you want to know where is next, find out where people are complaining about scams.

but will this happen in 2018 sir, many ico will be banned in big country whether it is russia or other big country which have inaugurated bitcoin.
But I think not all ico projects make a company loss but just the opposite if ico is successful, surely the profits can be very much
