bitcoin gold is still more profitable to mine than monero. do you think bitcoin gold will get pump like bitcoin cash in the future?

just too bad about the wallet incident. the team didnt do a good work there to filter.

there will be big pumps in the coming days from china i guess.
it ll get to 500+ $ , i keep my BTGs and will sell them when they get high like bitcoin cash.
It's not a money i like for long term , but for the next coming months it's good to have some when price is still 'low' at 300-400$ , sell them at 1000$ and you make good profit

I've more than a single doubt about BTG and the amateurish gang behind it.
Let me elaborate.
In the last two days, with their own wallet, downloaded right before the know problems (I did not download the Windows Wallet installer between November 21, 2017, 09:39 UTC, and November 25, 2017, 22:30 UTC, but on the 16th), I imported SOME of my BTC privvy keys into it, just to see the BTG vanishing into non-authorized outgoing transactions soon after having made their appearance into my balance...see an example integrally reported in my own language:
Code:

There were issues in the past. If you're concerned, the best way is to get a hardware wallet. Also remember never to use a Bitcoin address that still has Bitcoin in it - that way, the malware at least can't steal your Bitcoin. Send your BTC to a different address before importing the private keys into a BTG wallet.

I still haven't claimed mine from the cold storage coins I have sitting in my prefork wallet.  Is there a guide somewhere or the best exchange that will just auto give you them if you deposit a BTC equivalent amount?  I haven't been keeping up with the news, so many alts to track now.  Can someone help me out with the safest way to go about this?

i just found this, but not yet tried: https://coinomi.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/29000013719-how-to-get-bitcoin-cash-from-many-wallet-software-services-with-coinomi

Environment WAS safe before installing BTG client.
Its own uninstaller IS a Malware
https://www.dropbox.com/s/gf7s8pcreiqn45e/BTG_Malware.png?dl=0

Once again: this was well before the period stated at their own website as I downloaded it on November the 16th and checksum has been successfully verified BTW.

Of course they did NOT made available a ZIP version, without installer.

So my advice is NOT INSTALLING their QT client for no reason.

With that clearly said..... for iPhone users I do recommend Bither for private keys import and then to claim from here sending to Bitpie BTG address. I did it this way for my bigger part of BTG, which I dumped right away.

And..yes, I sent my BTC wallet content to another wallet of mine (Electrum), well before doing the import.

I was able to get my BTG out of my Electrum wallet and into Coinomi wallet using that guide.  Pretty easy process.

See here: A Beginner’s Guide to Claiming Your Bitcoin Gold (and Selling It)

If you have an Android phone and your addresses were stored in standard Bitcoin addresses (not multisig or Segwit), the safest option is to use Coinomi. First, move your BTC to new addresses under your control. Then you can sweep the "empty" private keys into your Coinomi BTG wallet. Coinomi integrates Shapeshift/Changelly, so you might be able to exchange right in the Coinomi UI. Not positive about that, though, as I sent my coins to Bitfinex.

I've also heard that Iphone users can sweep private keys into Bither, but I'm not familiar with that service. Whatever you do, be very careful and don't put any keys at risk that contain BTC.

Bitcoin gold is becoming more popular in the cryptocurrency world. Most of the experts says that the bitcoin gold can surpass the value of the bitcoin. I can't predict what will happen to the future and the best thing that we can do is to observe the price of the bitcoin gold

That's right, BTG is the best hedge against Bitcoin because BTG doesn't rely on Asic mining or blocksize discussion. The problems BTG devs have right now are not very complicated to solve and I'm sure they will solve them very soon.

Who are these experts? Links, please! The Bgold developers can't even keep the official website from being compromised. And they announced that hackers replaced the official wallet download file with malware. They were hosting this malware on bitcoingold.org for almost two days! They couldn't fork Electrum to give people access to their coins. The whole launch was a shitshow.

Bgold might get pumped again because most people don't know how to safely move their BTG. So supply on the order books is low --> easy to pump the price. But this coin has horrible fundamentals. It's definitely not worth holding for the long term.

I've also heard that Iphone users can sweep private keys into Bither, but I'm not familiar with that service. Whatever you do, be very careful and don't put any keys at risk that contain BTC.

I've solved by means of using Bither to import  private keys and Bitpie to complete the work. As I said above. For iPhone users of course.
Obviously BEFORE imprting privvy keys you have to send ALL BTC from your original wallet to another address belonging to another wallet.
I did it by sending from my Electrum wallet in PC1 to my Electrum Wallet in PC2.
Then I imported privvy keys from the now empty wallet of PC1 into Bither.
Quite straightforward. No BTG lost.

I`ve made a conclusion, that the BTC has its advantages and I think, the result of bitcoin gold has not brought any significant effect. This may be a bit different from bitcoin cash, because when bitcoin cash is shared, everyone who owns it tries to sell it, and it becomes the best coin in the market to trade.

Did someone else notice the increase in BTG difficulty over the last week?
It doubled already and I guess it will only increase more. All those who started at the beginning can be really happy!

Lmfao.... what comes next? Fact is bitcoin is run by giant mining corps at the moment and forever going forward , this is about as far from how it started as possible . B CASH is pretty much the same while the heart behind bitcoin gold is much inline with the original feel . While the the largest holders of btc would never risk selling the market down in order to hopefully buy back at a lower price , the same people are the largest holders of BTG and are taking the chance IMO ... my understanding is the tru bitcoin community IE INDIVIDUALS know this as they knew BTG was coming at some point and will once again turn their GPU's on , secure the network & change the world Smiley .... we all have the funds to do so and finally the "nonsense" we have been talking about bitcoin and crypto is now being taken seriously by anyone and everyone we spat it at over the past 5-8 years , so they will join in and buy a rig shortly & mark my words it will not be a soon to be obsolete rig to mine btc or bcc or anything but BTG ....

who the frig would be on here blasting BTG & saying no no the future is all about paying for mining contracts or buying coins mined in China?? Are you kidding ? Are you crypto ? Lol come on man ........ I truly thank these company's for helping us get to just under 10k and the progress they have contributed to building hardware,  But we are going back to the ROOTS of this & BTG along with some other small cryptos are the future ...

.. really who is backing BTC rather than BTG in a argument about who should and who will dominate ? ? ?  Your dad owns a warehouse full of Asics? You like the fact you will never get a vote or ever mine a coin on your own ? Really ? That's really weird , pls respond pls
