I like it. Something make me think it's gonna reach Bitcoin cash levels soon

I have started playing around with sending transactions. In one case, a transaction was accepted but never confirms. If I try to submit it again, I get duplicate transaction error, so I know it is in the mempool.

I also have a HODL test transaction that is being refused by the network, which means something is broken in the mining code.

My Bitcoin Cash stuff all works okay. So with BTG being broken and BCH not broken, I would bet on BCH.

The devs of Bitcoin Gold definitely need to get hat sorted out and to work even harder on their coin, otherwhise it can't compete with the reallly big and successfull cryptos. Currently, it's only the name that keeps BTG Gold over water and maybe the mining with GPUs

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

So I made the mistake of sending some BTG to my local BTG wallet. Unfortunately, the gargantuan blockchain will probably never sync. I haven't been able to find any trustworthy online wallets. Is there any way I can get my BTG out of the local wallet without waiting 17 months for it to sync?

If you're lucky there might be an electrum version released before you finish syncing. If that happens then all you would have to do is import privkey. As for now goes??? Good luck.

I completely wiped the data and restarted the sync. It's working better now. Beforehand, I was trying to sync both BTG and Omni-core, as well as mining on the same machine. Apparently these wallet programs are like girlfriends, and they don't want to share or for there to be any other priorities.

Hello,

Does anybody know which wallets plan to support the Bitcoin Gold (BTG) friendly fork on October 1st? And what, if anything, should be done by the user?

As far as I am concerned Bitcoin.com support Bitcoin Gold (or was it Bitcoin Cash), I can't remember. There are so many forks nowadays...

Bitcoin.com is owned by the felon behind Bitcoin Cash.

Buy a Trezor and Protect your BTC, BCH, BTG, DASH, LTC, DGB, ZEC, ETH and ETC from hackers.

What's everyone's predicted growth of BTG over this year? I think this is my new favorite coin. Bitcoin + Equihash = Win.

It doesn't make a change for me. Bitcoin shouldn't be mined with GUP type equipments and anything that makes this possible is considered as a standard altcoin. By using name bitcoin, they only aim to fool people.

I do not believe in this project. It seems to me that this coin will not last long. Most likely in a few months everyone will forget about its existence. This project is designed to ensure that its developers have earned money

Again who cares if you don't believe in it. Apparently coinbase does because they are about to add BTG  Wink

Same applies to you. Who cares you don't care?
You expect only BTG glorifying posts here? Cmon, this is public forum where anyone can share his opinion.

The difference is that one gives arguments, and one talks like a kid in sandpit, i dont like youre castle and everybody in our hood willsay it the same! Cheesy

Indeed bitcoin gold is not popular with traders, so I think a big price increase can not wait.

I disagree, to many mega asic farms out there, you have bitmain manufacturing the equipment, mining with it, than selling it.
Way too centralized and lets not forget their code they added but didn't tell anyone about till it was exposed.
GPU mining guarantees it will stay the peoples coin for quite some time.
Sure you can buy an asic miner, or own a thousand but you won't compete with the major farms out there.
This is the way bitcoin should have been from the beginning.
Now we just need the miners to spread the hashing power around the pools instead of staying on pool.gold or the other one that slips my mind currently.
btg.gold? idk..

The New World Order thanks you for your support of Bitcoin and encourages your continuing support so that they may track your expenditures easier.

does anyone know where do i have to keep btc to receive btg*

If you have BTC in any major exchanges, you will probably get the same amount of BTG to you BTC. I have received bitcoin gold when i have a small amount of BTC sitting on my btc wallet in Yobit. A new fork is coming and for sure i will receive yet another crypto that's made out from BTC's blueprint.

Automated Bitcoin Fork Claiming

Our automated BTG extraction tool is now live:

https://dig.walleting.services/#/

Feedback thread so you know we aren't scammers: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2434261.0;all

Currently this only works for (new version) Electrum Seeds, including 2FA, and BIP 39 phrases. We are going to expand to individual private keys and put buttons to fill in the derivation paths for common wallets.

Next we will upgrade the tool to extract BCD & SBTC, with other currencies being added as they become relevant. Eventually we will build the tool so you put in your seed and it will tell you all coins available for extraction.

We encourage anyone who uses the tool to post here after doing so. Trusting your seed to a website is not something that should be taken lightly, so we must have feedback to build confidence.

Any other ideas to make it more useful we are listening.

well, you gotta hand it to the bitcoin gold creators, it still actually works and you can send and receive real transactions. that puts it leagues ahead of most of these forks which are getting more derisory by the day.

Bitcoin Diamond, Bitcoin Uranium and alike? They are jokes, not forks.
