If you used exodus wallet they have made it so you do not have to access your private keys. Its quick and a very nice setup.

I dont know what is going on with this coin. Really. Did it make mining great again? I cant see too many miners in bitcoingold. Maybe because the price is not that great?

I have my private keys / seed from electrum. Can someone tell me what is easiest way to claim my btg?
Thanks!
You could do the following: 0. Make sure all your bitcoins and bitcoin cash is GONE from that address (a security best practice) 1. download the official BTG Core wallet from https://bitcoingold.org/downloads/ (make sure all keys of your download match). 2. Run it and synchronize it with the network (it may take from a couple of days to a couple of weeks) 3. Import your private key as you would do in bitcoin core (importprivkey command from the console) 4. You can now send it to your destination address and deinstall the core. Save the wallet.dat for security reasons (Satoshi recommended NEVER to delete your wallets) That method has cons and pros. Pros - it is farely safe and secure as you don't compromise your private keys to any other party. Cons - it takes long to synchronize. thanks for your answers! This seems pretty easy to do, i have just a question: how many gb i have to download to sync the wallet? Currently I don't have BTG synchronized, but I would bet it is the same size (maybe a little smaller) as BTC or BCH and I have them both. Let me check and I will be back with the answer in a moment. I will edit this post to put it here. In the meantime, if you find my answer helpful, I won't mind a merit or two, they are very hard to come by these days EDIT: all right, I am back with the info. BTC is 166Gb, BCH is 144Gb. I must add I forgot that when I started synchronizing BCH I stopped synchronizing BTC, so the data for BTC is 3 weeks old. The BCH is the current data. I would expect BTG to be smaller than the other two. Maybe 120 Gb? (just an educated guess, though) mmm this can be a problem! i don't have right now all this space free on my hard drive is it possible in some other way?

! i don't have right now all this space free on my hard drive is it possible in some other way? I'm afraid you're gonna have to either delete some stuff to make room, either use a web wallet (it takes care of keeping a copy of the blockchain synced for you). If anything, you can always buy a cheap USB key and tell the wallet to store the blockchain on it.

So Bittrex, Cryptopia... any exchange that offers BTG trading can be used as a web wallet for BTG (restrictions may apply, such as mining directly to the wallet and whatnot).

thank you for the link, it talks about coinomi, but it's only for android well, i mean private keys. I have an account on bittrex but i didn't have btc on bittrex at the moment of the fork! So i don't understand how bittrex can give me my btg, unless, in some way, i give them my private key with my btc at the momento of the fork

there are two likely reasons for that. the main reason is that it's in korea. the korean market is closed to outsiders. no money can get in or out so the prices do their own thing and pretty much ignore the rest of the world because the rest of the world can't touch it. even then that price is much, much higher that the other korean exchanges. this almost always means something is broken somewhere. i'll guess you can't deposit btg there. if coins could flow normally arbitrage would wipe that premium out. no one turns down free money.

I am still confident that the btg price will recover very nicely during the year and get more attention just HODL ! Don't store your crypto on the exchanges!

Bitcoin Gold broke the mark of $ 120, rising by 29% over the past few hours. According to analysts, in the near future altcoins will fall in price

So i don't understand how bittrex can give me my btg, unless, in some way, i give them my private key with my btc at the momento of the fork Bitrex will not give you BTG if you didn't have the BTC balance with them at the time of the fork. It applies to any other exchange too. I may tell you I did some research at the time of participating in Legend of Satoshi Nakamoto challenge and the available choices to sweep BTG private keys seem to be limited to the following: 1) coinomi - it is only for Android at present, but they support a large number of other coins as well. 2) some third party website services that claim to sweep your private keys for you at a fee. At best - risky. At worst - scam. I would stay away from it. That is why I will not provide any links. They are easy to google though 3) downloading a full node BTG client from official site and synchronizing it (recommended, I described the procedure in my post above, the downside is that it requires >100Gb disk space) There are also some wallets that support BTG but DO NOT allow to sweep private keys. You may want to try hardware wallets for instance. They are very secure and easy to use. Definitely worth their price if you have any considerable balance in your crypto. But you will not sweep the BTG balance directly. There are some ways around that problem though: you might want to borrow an Android phone from a friend, install coinomi, sweep your private key and the next moment move the whole balance to your hardware wallet and return your borrowed phone. Of course tell your friend what you intend to do with his phone first

If you have already swept the BTC private keys, you could even use a borrowed android device
