With DEXs like BancorX coming out soon how long until EOS will need a side chain

Mike Novogratz said he thinks EOS could reach 50,000 TPS by the end of the year, so I think we will need big exchanges like BancorX or viral video games to push it that far, however i'm not sure how many TPS the mainnet can handle until we need a side chain?

Well, if you wanna go big, then at first at least just try to stick to the base coin limit without thinking of the side coin. You can search in the forums if some really knows the limit of the side coins, but that won't help you much without firsthand experience.

I know about decentralized exchange Bancor (which is not fully decentalized, like we saw after hack few months ago )
But what does BancorX mean? Tell us more please.

That is indeed a good question. Though it is promising, the number of TPS that can be handled by the mainnet before the need of sidechain is a burning question.Wether EOS will 50000 TPS by the end of the year is another serious question.

Bancor is not a big exchange site and compared to the idex and it's nothing. Lol what makes you expect a lot from how many TPS will be reached by EOS blockchain? Do you think that will be useful if there was no demand to use that platform? The platform just need to gives enough scalability and it doesn't mean they must reach more and more.

I am also interested in the answer. As far as I know mainnet can handle maximum 8000 TPS on a multi-node network with the JIT compiler. If thats true I think we would need a side chain.
