Yes I agree with this because it was stated in the Bible. It is the root of all evil like crimes. Robbing is one crime with money involved. Corruption and many more crimes involved with money are seen today. Poor people often rob because of needs. Other people steal because of envy. Money is the reason on why people don't serve God. Instead of going to church, they prioritized their business. As also stated in the Bible, man can only serve mammon (money) or God.

When you read Bible, book of Genesis, you will see that first people, Adam and Eve, lived in the ideal world, original garden of Eden, without any money, material things, even naked, without clothes.
When they broke God's command, they became aware of their nudity and covered their sexual organs.
From that moment on, people became materialists, obsessed with material things.
Very few people remain devoted to spirituality and relationship with God.
It's our sad reality today.
So, money is not root of all evil but our separation from God.
Because of it, we have a materialistic and selfish society today.

Yes it is stated in the Bible that too much love for money is the root of all evils.  If we see money as our top priority above others, money becomes our god.  We will do everything just to have a lot of it even doing it for the dake of ones self, selfishness.  People lost their morales and humility for loving it too much.

money is just a tool to meet the needs of everyday human life, it is not all forms of human needs can be met by money, but money is needed as one of human life support.
