nibble is under attack by ASIC owners/ASIC supporters  - they have the belief that they can 51% attack nibble .

Think about this ..

Even if you succeed , I will take nibble off this forum , and if need be into the street on a one by one basis , slowly building a base of #.

in a way that would even be more equitable there would be literally nothing you could do about it , except wasting power chasing after block chains.

Think about who will win. But i guess you have to try ...

I have access to free power , my designs can be transferred easily I’m giving you an opportunity by being here , not the other way around.

Do you really fear nibble that much?

If a small blue bird can scare all this ASIC investment, then it’s already doomed you realize?

If it’s not me , it will be someone else.

Its your flaw not ours , you are forced to attack , not us, long term , do some study and see how that works out for the attacker. .

The attack method  and its failings : -

1. Drive difficulty up to a level that seems non - profitable for miners.

2. Wait for miners to leave.

3. Then attack the Blockchain.

actually i kinda like it , its getting us a lot of attention , and meanwhile the people that are wondring why you are attacking nibble are mining and buying , knowing that (to put it recently); -

"Dogs don't bark at parked cars"

What if nibble gets 51% attacked? - very unlikely -

And we will at that stage later hard fork reissue and give all current holders back their units.

in theory we can do that forever.  how can an attacker win?

They spend more on power , we spend less on worry.

They have to spend time money and energy to protect a losing ASIC investment we get to spend time innovating.

yes its ASIC owners , using sCrypt - possibly with sCrypt FPGA and just GPU -

they want to protect their baby Bitcoin, that is pretty much DOA soon.

they have been atttacking any sCrypt currency including LTC indirectly by spaming ält-spam to dilute the LTC base and try to delay the MTgox listing.

any respectable sCrypt currency will be attacked, Taco's will be attacked you will see., so if you want to get behind a decent sCrypt design support nibble.

i'm loving that it is costing so much in power actually !  how are energy costs there in the USA?

It is under attack, people constantly trying to cram 320K blocks of a self mined blockchain onto the network.

Why?  Because they are afraid.

also you might find this interesting ?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=145910.0

look as a bunch of sad old ASiC owners trying to find out a way to attack NVC , and then laugh at how they failed and how much power/capital they must have spent.

ha ha ha !

I just submitted my logo design for NVC , i think it represnts it well, its a solid and stealthy currency that can't be hurt.

I particularly like netheads quote :

"Well said, and if you search my post history here you will find out that i said some times (as other members too) that if ppl were simply ignored it it would be nothing. Those attacks made it to be something, and everyone tries to (kinda) "blame" (or have someone to laugh at) me because i was saying on the trollbox that im mining it.. Well... Guess who lost some of the profits here... (even though most of those ppl joined too)

I support and will keep on supporting altcoins while they make me profit. That said i dont care what anybody says Wink

Edit: another thing i would like to say is that since most of you support cryptos, you dont have to see anything new as an "enemy, that you have to win a battle against of"  "

at least he was honest.  on why they failed.

There's no way ASICS can attack scrypt and I doubt there are FPGA's there yet though there were some huge hashes hitting Goldcoin out of nowhere in last day or two that looked bit suspicious.

Anyway, this fearing stuff it's bit pathetic. If they are attacking it, they have some reason to do it but fear is not the one  Wink

I think that meant spare gpu rigs are used, but who knows could be B.S.

Probably, Goldcoin was attacked with 2GH, nothing too huge but for new coin it is, specially when difficulty retargeting is pretty slow. Someone's having fun I guess, there are few coins that are causing more problems to big ones taking a part of the market value, GoldCoin with it's price and Nibble without even being on exchange are not ones that would make someone worried.

It's twattish thing to do but people do all kind of stuff..
