It was indeed a good shot but I wonder what happened to them now? It was a silly and dangerous move to make because it was the life savings of his grandmother but good thing the price grows so there will be no one crying. I will also suggests to take what is originally invested or maybe more to sell and convert into fiat. It will still be better if grandma can see her life savings visually. It was a great risk after all. Anyways, putting the life savings of his grandma into investing is not a good move because he did it upon reading from this forum. Though it had been profitable but WHAT IF? Imagine the hardship and the sadness that will happen if it didn't work out.

For sure, the kid and his grandma's money result to a very big profit because of the growth in the bitcoin price. It was a big risk and not a good idea for risking the old woman's money. Old people needs money mostly for medication and emergency health issues so imagine how big the risk that child has put the money into.

Indeed. You touched an interesting point, "what if"? After the investment was made and the profit was made (more than 100%, wow!) it's easy to analyze the situation positively, but the inverse could have happened. So it's not an example to follow for other people that are reading about it now. The same volatility that pushes it up, pushes it down as well... So, for those who are thinking about doing the same, think better about it.

this is what I am thinking too right now. I think she needs to enjoy the rest of her life with her life savings money and not confuse or do something with her money. but if she really wants to make an investment in bitcoin, maybe she only need to use 25%-50% from all of her life savings money so she still could enjoy her life.

You can clearly see that bitcoin is overtaking the social media hype because of its rapid growth of adaption and most of the people are seeing it as a chance to get out of poverty but I don't really think that bitcoin can help them. I definitely agree with this statement. At her age she needs to unwind and enjoy herself with her own money. But I am not saying that you make a wrong decision in telling her to put her lifesavings in bitcoin. It is just that there is more pleasant option.

His remorse was so gigantic that he decided to suicide after his grandma's loss of nearly 50% and after all these posts saying he was stupid to follow forum users advice. Then he was unable to see the price hitting $20k in December. What a pity!

That stupidity that the OP told to her grandma turn out to be profitable at this time if her grandma kept the bitcoin until now or sold it when the price is sky rocketing at $19,000 dollars. But even they got a huge profit from that bitcoin investment it is still not advisable to put all your hard earned money on  crypto currencies, Imagine if her grandma invested at $18,000 to $19,000 dollar she probably have an heart attack now when she see the price at this moment.

Most of the people in the forum do not agree the decision taken by you to advise your grandma putting all her lifetime savings in bitcoin.  And you saying that some persons "we"(you)  said it you to do this.  I am sure no body would have said this you to invest all the savings in one bitcoin.  I have seen most of the people advising here and also I am of the opinion that we must not invest all our investments in one instrument only (do not put all the eggs in one tray)  as it increases our risk factor.  
So I think your claim regarding members in this forum said you to do so is not true.  I think you just want to troll some post here.  
Now though the investment has doubled but I sincerely advise you to sell some part of bitcoin now and keep this money in some other investment like gold or bank deposit.  
Though the decision taken was foolish; but still I congratulate you as the investment value today is more than double.  So be quick encash some part of it.  It will be better option for your grandma.

Yes,  your right you explain well about this situation. Putting your all money in one investment is so risky. We all know that bitcoin has no stability in their price.Sometimes the value of bitcoin inclined up and somtimes inclined down. I have notice that you risk the lifesaving money of your beloved grandma and do hope that you purchase it then when the price is much way more lower than today even the fact that bitcoin current price is almost half of the recorded all time high of 20k.
