OmiseGo (OMG) started their Airdrop campaign for ETH holders.

I'm curious to know what do you think about these type of campaigns.

Are you immediately selling these tokens?

Are you likely to buy more?

Are you holding for future gains?

It depends on the coin. In these cases, I do some research about that and decide what to do.

I will hold any Omisego I recieve.

I just got a penny worth of OMG, But i think that better to sell my OMG and invest it into the shitcoin, i remember some shitcoin in the cryptopia gets pumped over 100% in a day and that was look a good movement to try.

What is an airdrop? Is that like dividends? Where they send coins to current bag holders?

An airdrop is another way to distribute a coin. Its free, you just comply with the instruction from the coins management  or developer. Then you just give them your wallet address and they will sending you their coin. Usually the coin ius not yet on the exchanges, and you have to wait it to be listed. Once it is listed, you start trading it.

In the case of OMG, they sent coins to all Ethereum wallet addresses. The amount of coins to be received depends upon the amount of Ether held by those addresses. All you had to do was hold Ether at the time of the airdrop in your own wallet and you'd get coins.

If you think it can give you more profit then you keep and buy it more, this type of campaign is like giveaways and it is a good way to introduce new coin, people love free stuff and when it is used to trade,  the transaction volume will increase and it can affect the popularity and the price

I am going to hold the most coins that I claimed in airdrops. I only drop coins that are scam or have no future in my opinion, but I always wait for an exchange launch to sell the bad coins.

I think a lot of airdrops can see some nice prices in the future, so dont sell you airdrops to early guys Smiley

Hi! Can you suggest good alts on cryptopia?

Neblio, Droxne, and Bitcore are hot right now.. i think DOT (Cryptopia's currency) is undervalued simply based on how much volume the exchange does.

I'm curious to know what do you think about these type of campaigns. - in the case of OMG its a way for them to help out the Eth community and its also a way for them to get some exposure

Are you immediately selling these tokens? - as a OMG holder nope. Its a long-term safe investment

Are you likely to buy more? - Yes, They are a managed by a professional team of business people

Are you holding for future gains? - yes

It just depends on the coin, if you feel it has potential hold it, some airdrops are great and some leave holding a large bag of nothing. I have had airdrops that turned into a nice chunk of change, and some like DeepOnion that I plan to hold onto for some time.

Airdropped coins are either instantly dumped by those who received them for free (well, if the coin or token is already on exchanges) or left in their wallet for a long time so that they will make gains there. No need to worry if the price goes down, because it was received freely.

it mainly depends on the coin to be honest.
most of these airdrop tokens are not even worth claiming. they are waste of time because of their low price which is also dropping hard and their uselessness. but rarely you can find an airdrop that has some potential. it may even introduce you to a good altcoin. or even a pumping one to give you a huge profit.

the only one that i claimed with enthusiasm to hold has been Byteball. the rest of them i either don't bother with or dump as soon as i receive them and for good reasons too.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.

I never ever sell airdrop coins at the time I got them. Airdrops make coins more attractive for people as lot of people meet with that coin by that way. That means those coins have potential to really raise until moon. Don't ever sell them directly is my suggestion.

As I know OmiseGo is one of these coins that will be growing sufficiently in the middle term. Dont think it's a good idea to dump them now.

If it's around ICO price, just hold it. If its 3-4 times ICO price then sell it Smiley
